Jennifer played really good, much better than she started 2003. All she needs now is a little bit time and practice/tournaments, and she will be back crashing good players in no time!

Over all, I think it is good sign that Jennifer is bakc on the right track!

Side note: did you see that???:

"Like Hingis, who won the Dubai title in 2001, when the WTA Tour first came
to the Middle East, Capriati is revelling in the exotic surroundings. "I have
never taken personal pictures before," she says, "but I've been taking my own
here. I just feel like I am in a fantasy world, an Aladdin movie." Professional
photographers have also been busy, not least at the players' party on Wednesday.
Capriati sat on a camel and was also persuaded to join a belly-dancer on stage."

   belly-dancer and Jenn? Wow, I want to see these pictures!!! :) ;) I hope it will surface soon

Cheers,
Eugene

Here's a bit about the bellydancing!

DUBAI (February 18, 2003 8:12 p.m. EST) - If Jennifer Capriati ever feels like giving up the day job, she could do worse than giving bellydancing a fling.

The American tennis star proved more than adept at the stomach-shaking dance when invited to have a go at a dinner for the Dubai WTA Open on Tuesday.

After receiving guidance from an expert the number three seed took the stage herself, to the delight of watching photographers.

The world number six, appearing for the first time in the Dubai tournament, then retired to bed early for a Wednesday date on court with Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova.

I'm not too disappointed about the loss either. She hasn't played for ages and is lacking match practice and considering that it's been a good tournament for her! :) :bounce:

Go Jen!!!! :worship:

i agree it has been a good tournament but yet again she has lost another tight match, she really needs to start winning the big points.

But she'll be in good shape for IW if she plays and also Miami.
