View Full Version : An ADVICE for Serena

An ADVICE for Serena :

Never ever let go a FRESH and YOUNG meat (James, Boris - sweeter, juicier, softer, tender...) for an hard core meat (Lavar, Keyshman- indigest, )! For the hard and old meat :

1) you will have to add Baking soda for it to cook

2) hanger (anger) will kill you with time

3) when this hard meat is finally cooked, the little taste it had will disappear, and you won't be hungry anymore

PLEASE, don't say nobody advise you to be careful ! Experience talking !

Oh pleeezeeee!!!!!!!!!!!...James is more like a sista.....see his hair and buns...Serena like competition but not that kinda competition when her man's buns looks better than hers.....

James, and I do like James but he has a sweet smile and he is into fashion like no other guy is...plus I think he went to Harvard....Serena would mix him up and serve him for dinner...Rena need someone like Jay-z or Tyrese....poor James would get bitch slapped everytime he loses a match....and plus Richard would punk him out in a second.......don't put James in situations like that......don't do that..

Don't be so naive as to think followers of any religion are 100% devout. Remember, people are only human, and if every Christian were perfect Christians, then we wouldn't need Jesus.

plus if they were so devoted then they wouldn't play on saturdays..unless maybe the wta is allowing them to go through the visiting country handing out pamplets...I mean Oracene mysteriously disappeared for a sec while a match with one of her daughters were playing...

Maybe the girls try to recruit other players in the locker room...then it's ok for them to be there on saturday or sunday....imagine if they played every day except for saturday and sunday....lol..how would that be...maybe it's what Alexandra is doing...hmmmmmmmmm...now it all makes sense...

In response to the respecting the man as head of the household....my statement says it all.....he's a sista and he won't be respected....by richard or those other sisters....too much competition..for crying out loud there are 5 of them and now to have another sista to compete against.....I don't think he would have been welcomed like he should have been.....

Dayum, just let RENA have her man. She want's a valentines too. And it doesn't have to be someone you approve of either. If she doesn't wan't anyone who is conservative then so be it. She has a good head on her shoulders, and I have faith that she will make the right decisions.

It's not like she is getting married. She is dating, and just having fun. Geesh!!!

harloo
Feb 15th, 2003, 05:17 PM
IMO, it's not fair to call James a "sista". He IMO is just not Rena's type, and some have a certain ideal of what a "black man" is supposed to be like which is a myth. James is conservative, and passive which is just a reflection of his upbringing. Nothing more. He would probably be better suited with someone who is more closer to his personality.

Serena wants a gangsta type bruther who can satisfy her, you can tell

but on the other hand i am a firm believer that her and James would make the cutest couple. their chemistry is high. they are so cute about each other

starr
Feb 15th, 2003, 07:50 PM
Yup. I think you are right. Serena needs a "gangsta type bruther."

I would think that James would be laughing too hard at Serena's malapropisms to take her seriously.

He's an intelligent, cultured man. He can do much better than a woman how hotglues rhinestones onto her tennis outfit.

SJW
Feb 15th, 2003, 08:01 PM

Feb 15th, 2003, 08:04 PM
And her speech is littered with malapropisms.

It's too funny.

Besides, she probably doesn't want to date someone who looks tons better than she does.

Who says James is "passive?" What the hell does that mean? He must be a pretty competitive person to be an elite tennis player. That doesn't happen by accident. He is also academically competitive. What's passive about that? Is being polite and well-spoken antithetical to agression? I think not.

SJW
Feb 15th, 2003, 08:12 PM
i think Serenas great looking

not only on the outside but within

she IS nice, shes funny, shes down to earth

shes just misunderstood

and she has a body to die for. for black people a conventional figure, a flat ass and no hips arent the best type of body

the more like an hourglass, the better

Feb 15th, 2003, 08:16 PM
So, what infamous malapropisms has Serena come up with, then? I'd love to know. I've always felt a little sorry for her ever since at Wimbledon 2001 she confused the meaning of the word "hypochondriac" and took it to mean somehow who was always getting ill, rather than someone who mistakenly thinks they're always getting ill.

Mind you, older sis was no better; that very same Wimbledon was host to the infamous occasion when Venus tried to be ridiculously pretentious and show that she was a real cultured gal by responding to the question "Do you want to be liked as a tennis player or as a person?" with the counter-query "Wasn't that one of the chief themes of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman?"

I nearly died laughing when I read that. And people say that the Williams sisters are too serious and lacking in self-awareness and irony.

Feb 15th, 2003, 08:35 PM
Oh god! I had forgotten that one! You made me laugh all over again.

Honestly, Serena's interviews should be saved for posterity. She had one timeless interview with the Stuttgart newspaper that I read in German. The interviewer was stunned.

Oh... and was it in Munich that she told the interviewer who asked her if she had time to see any of the city (one of the famed cities of the world) that she liked the cookies.

Hendouble
Feb 15th, 2003, 08:41 PM
Ludicrous, ludicrous... but sadly unsurprising. You sadly missed her on-court interview after she had wrapped up her singles victory against Iva Majoli on the final day of the Collins Cup in Dublin at the end of last year.

Interviewer: So, how are you enjoying Dublin and the sights of the city?

Serena: Oh, it's really great, you know, I'm beginning to appreciate a lot of new things and, you know, I think I'm actually developing a bit of an Irish (pronounced "ear-ish" by Serena) accent!

They cut away to the presenter of the programme after this, and he was grinning uncontrollably. "Yes, maybe a little advice to Serena on that Irish accent... sometimes the English language itself is hard enough to master!" he observed with a smirk.

Well actually, I did not need to scour interviews to find these amusing bon mots and gems of wisdom from Serena and Venus, they were presented in a similarly mocking manner in a tennis magazine that I read, so perhaps you should blame that esteemed publication rather than me.

And I'm not mounting an all-out attack, merely trying to suggest that the poor lamb isn't really in any position to decide about her love life when she hasn't yet got a full grasp of the basic principles of the English language, that's all.

Jennifer's are funny too. She's got the malapropism thing going. Unfortunately, there's more reading for the laughs.

And I do miss in Jennifer's interviews Serena's complete self-absorption that lends the fine comic air to nearly all her interviews, and then, Jennifer hardly ever mentions "my Jehovah." That's one of my favorite Serena phrases.

No, she isn't stupid. She can be a little simplistic and headstrong at times, but I think that's something to do with that fiery Italian lineage she's got - heart ruling the head, and whatnot.

I like it - much better than the impenetrable wall you get with the Williams sisters on court, where you never really know what they're thinking or feeling. Capriati's openness and Davenport's wholesome decency are the two most appealing attributes of their personality.

Well, that's what I think anyway.

Ask yourself (secretly/deep down inside) why you are here and you will find the answer for what I mean....nobody needs to know what the answer is...

The name of a horse...don't forget a horse is an elegant animal...what this has to do with you ? I presume you won't admit it....you are a wannabe !

Hendouble and you make such a pair ! Of course I am silly at times ! at least I'll admit it !

Jennifermarie: you sound like what they call in my native language : "Madame j'approuve". Even starr (the articulated wannabe) would admit that you are sillier than I am !

a wannabe? Meaning I want to be someting I'm not? A wanna be what, then?

a horse? Well, it might be fun to be a horse. I wouldn't mind that. And I freely admit that horses are much more elegant than I or any human... except maybe Audrey Hepburn or Stefan Edberg.

As for your epistemological question....... I dunno why I am here. But Rick Reilly had a good column about that in this week's SI.

yoyo.... is that as in Ma... or only as in the toy?

You seem to be upset and angry. I'm sorry. I wish you would like to have fun... but since you don't...... I would have to say that JenMarie is much much sillier than you and, consequently, a lot more fun to be around.

And I even agreed that Serena would be better off with James!

No, YoYo.. I have no desire to be a superstar. I've got my niche in life all carved out and it's quite challenging as it is. I hope you've got one carved out too....

But on to something important.... The clouds have broken over the mountains just at sunset and the peaks are covered with fresh snow as crisp and white as a newly laundered table cloth against the dark gray blue sky.

well, I wouldn't be upset by that insult, JenMarie. Or perhaps that was directed to me. lol.

Since Jennifer was the topic of discussion not long ago, I have a gem of hers that I have been looking for an excuse to share.

From the Australian Open following her loss in the first round:

Q. What's the name of the condition?
JENNIFER CAPRIATI: It's called a pterygium. It's not spelled how its sounds.

Thanks for the English lesson, Jenn.

just your comments about Jennifer....and about you being blonde...and your admittance that your not very smart (which i dont agree with)

it takes more talent for a smart person to act dumb than a dumb person to act smart ;)

btw are you male or female?

can we get back to Serena's dating preferences?? :D

i don't see her with Keyshawn for very long, if they are really dating...but James?? He's too soft and a big whiner (but I love him anyway) There's a guy in the NBA I think would be perfect for Serena. His name is Kevin Garnett. Can anyone post pic??
