Too bad. There's so much potential in her game..I wish she could stay healthy and confident for a good long stretch and see how far she could go.

When is there not problems with her elbow?

such a shame, she seems to get no luck :( everytime she comes back and shows her great form, she gets injured shortly after and gets stuck trying to climb back up the rankings over and over again.

it seems an almost inescapable problem though, when you look at the technique in her shotmaking. must be very hard on her elbow :(

ooh, this is really bad news, because the elbow is the injury that messed up her career for a whole year the last time - it's her worst physical problem. It's a shame Babbsie isn't as physically tough as she is mentally tough...

Get well soon,Babsi!!!

Such sad news. Is there anything wrong with her conditioning or training methods? Or is her body just that fragile??

Get well soon, Babsi!

Didn't Babsi say in the fall if she had another injury within the first six months of the year, she would retire. I hope this didn't clinch it...

That really sux!:( She has been injured so much...hate when these things happen to players! She is great..I love her stoic style of play...

she wanted to retire last year but after beating Dementieva at the AO she decided to play again

Oh no :sad::sad:

Be back as soon as possible Babsi :kiss:

I think she had arthroscopic surgery on her wrist, not elbow, late last year. T'would be a shame as she's (24?) to have to leave now, esp. after her "moment in the sun" @ Charlotte in the infamous Fed Cup tie (with GlamourBabsi absent, of course). :sad:

That s so sad.

I saw all her matches at the oZ Open-and even when she lost to Rubin- she played some really terrific tennis. I hope she gets better really soon
