Winnable for Sania. :)

Feb 1st, 2003, 02:22 PM
Danny, are you serious?? .. I doubt it. I will shave my moustache if Sania beats her. Had SM ever had even a top-350 win, I would say there is a chance.

But then again, you never know, the way Sania is..

PS: I have no moustache, so I am safe either way :D

Feb 1st, 2003, 02:35 PM
Dhruv, who is Angelique Widjaja's opponent ?

Feb 1st, 2003, 05:03 PM
Go to Mary Pierce :) :D :) :D ;) !!!!!

Feb 1st, 2003, 05:23 PM
Who will replace Chanda?

Randy H
Feb 1st, 2003, 05:25 PM
I think Andreea Vanc has been moved up from top seed in qualifying, into the maindraw.

Hey Jay if you did have one we'd still try and convince you that Isha's win over a top 200 player was as good as hopefully a Sania win over Evie.

I meant to say: it's NOT the dumbest decision she's made...

putting off a surgery (if it is a serious injury) is usually not smart

Oren : First post is the draw. I just edited it to add the draw.

TBE, sorry I had missed out one match because it wasn't there on the draw sheet I found but some investigative work on my part (entry list, withdrawal list etc etc etc)and I found the "missing" matchup. Now the only thing is I'm not too sure about which Serra Zannetti matchup is where. Basically, the names are correct but the draw order maybe be wrong. :(

Feb 1st, 2003, 08:50 PM
didnt you say earlier today that Elena would be playing Antonella ?
maybe thats rd2

Feb 1st, 2003, 09:03 PM
Hey don't shoot the messenger ;). The http://www.wtaindianopen.com/fixtures.html site had some info earlier in the day and I copied it. Then it was blank again and now it is missing a matchup

Edit : Ok, now the website has an excel file with the draw and so I have switched the two Serra Zannetti in the first post to reflect the excel file. :)
The website guys are playing mindgames with me. I think maybe I am loading the site when I am not supposed to. ;)

Angie has quite good draw until she has to meet Tammy in QF...That's bad...I love both players...Tammy has more advantage since she is in a good shape but Angie can put a fierce fight...Angie leads 1-0 in their head to head...

Morigami has chance to defeat Clarisa...:wavey:

Wynne has good chance to win over Talaja...Not bad draw!

If Iroda fits, she can bring the title home!:D

Flavia will win over Sucha!!!

Anyhow, good luck to: Angie, Wynne, Tammy, Akiko, Saori, Mi-Ra and Sania!!! :wavey:

Feb 3rd, 2003, 05:41 AM
Hey Jay, I didn't mean that I think Sania will win, I just feel it is potentially winnable.

And if we get the same crowd that came into the National Games, you can bet they will be giving Sania all the support she needs. You remember the way they were "baying for blood" during Kirtane's match against an Andhra guy?
