I'm gonna drag myself out of bed at 2.30, so theoretically I could have gone clubbing, but as it is I am sat here.

Going out.... Time to drink up with friends and do the usual weekend time wasting routine. Don't really care either way who wins, my favorites are out... But I'm hoping Venus finally finds a way to topple Serena. ;)

Staying in here....I never miss an opportunity to cheer Venus on no matter who she's playing against. Let's see....I've got everything I need for a good night in. I have snacks, my VCR tuned in to the right channel, a tape to record the match on, and, ofcourse, spirits. And guess what, I'm starting on the spirits early, hehehe. Go Venus!!!!!

I can find more mindful and enjoyable entertainment watching "Glitter" or a recent Eddie Murhpy movie.

Shouldn't they put a warning before these two play each other? --Watching May Lead to Suicide-- or something.

LOL! I never went out. Even worse, I fell asleep in my room and woke-up long after the match finished!!! So that means I spent Friday night in my room, achieving nothing!

But I am definitely going dancing tomorrow night. I haven't been dancing in a month and I need some nice cologne rubbing against me, not to watch the bald eagle.

I went out, of course. My Friday night was freed after the semifinals. My friends and I polished off martinis and a bottle of wine, and then saw "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind."

I mean...didn't miss much, did I? If the result had been inverted, then I would have regretted it but...same old same old on the WTA Tour. ;)

Is that a good movie?! I just feel like Drew Barrymore and Julia Roberts are too goofy and mainstream to be in that movie. I know Sam Rockwell and Drew were in Charlie's Angels together, but it seems like Clooney did the casting just out of who his connections are although I know Rockwell beat out the likes of Edward Norton and such for the part--so he must be really worth it. Anyway, are Julia and Drew good?! I just feel like if I see the movie, I won't be thinking, here is Jane Doe kissing Sam Rockwell's character, but Julia Roberts kissing Sam Rockwell's character! LOL! Meaning, I have a hard time distinguishing the actress from the star because she's too big a 'star', so I don't know if I could get into the movie 'cause I never see her in roles like that.

It was a very good movie. I'm surprised Clooney put together something so good his first time at bat. Anyway, yes, Soderbergh produced so of course his darlings George and Julia got together and ran into the movie. And Drew is always trendy so she hopped on board. A couple other George/Julia/Soderbergh compadres have cute cameos as well ;)

Rockwell is a killer indie actor and he doesn't disappoint. Everyone is fine; it's a very tongue-in-cheek movie so seeing Julia Roberts do a Mata Hari turn isn't distracting at all.

And as for Mr. Norton...he lucked out cos he made an even better movie -- Spike Lee's "25th Hour," which I saw on Wednesday. Coming down the home stretch, "25th Hour" leads my Best of 2002 list, which should be compiled, oh, mid-2003. ;)

I like those movies where clooney and soderbergh are involved. The way soderbergh lights up the set is so amazing and clooney has become a very good movie actor. "Oh brother, where art thou?", "ocean 11" and "solaris" are my faves.

It was a great match actually, best they've ever played. Those who went out really missed out!
