One set all, then Molik retired hurt - apparently with a strained ankle.

bad luck, she has been having a fabulous start of the year.

Hope you feel better soon Alicia.

Yeah her right ankle is the problem. Most likely some ligament damage that will keep her out for 4-6 weeks, not too bad, should hopefully be ok for Doha/Dubai.
Frustrating though she was pretty devastated to have to retire hurt

I wonder what this means for the doubles. If Molik and Tulyganova were going to play doubles together, then Tulyganova will be without a partner. Might we see Tuly with Stubbsy?

OZ media did compare her to Anna.
Karma man it is a bitch.

bad luck Alicia... get well soon

Feel really sorry for Alicia , she did the right thing to stop though as risking any further injury would have been even worse.

lol I have to do this :D
Matches won by Molik at 2003 AO, 0

Tuly will play just mixed doubles along with Buthapi ....today lucky her shoulder was better than last week, but Lindsay will be a very tough opponent.

:( She was on such a roll. Hope it doesn't affect her game when she comes back.

What bad luck :( Get better soon Alicia!

Well Dawn Marie if you believe in karma I guess you should expect some of the bad variety to swipe you around the face sometime soon. The inference from your comment was uncalled for and rather spiteful.
You may perhaps want to separate the media from the player. At no time did Alicia say she was better than Anna or that she was prettier. She has not control over what the media said just as Anna doesn't.
