Once again..... three times in a row......

Maria will have a possible 2nd round matchup with Monica Seles AGAIN....

I know Maria has told the press that she has learned a lot from Monica..... But doesn't have to be three times in a row and possible another loss to be learned from.......

Poor Maria..... I am sure she can go further if she is going to meet up another Top20 player.... but not Monica Seles!!!

It isn't a jinx. Just bad luck that Maria might have to play Monica again. They both still have to win a match before playing each other again. Monica will do so. But will Maria? I hope so!

Udachi Maria! :bounce:

Masha's good but she won't have any where near enough for Monica!

Masha will be a superb player, but she has NO chance of beating Monica any time soon...

First Maria has to beat Klara Koukalova - which won't be easy, I guess...

Yeah your getting a bit ahead of yourselves....Klara Koukalova looks like shes playing well and it wont be easy to get past her. Monica in the second round is better than Venus in the 2nd round too.

Every future #1 has to beat their first top ten player some time. In Venus's case it was Iva Majoli at Indian Wells in 1997. And Iva went on to win RG that year. If Sharapova is the real deal, some top ten player is going down sooner or later.

Why not this week?

Yes but clearly Maria has showed she still has to work on some parts of her game to play a top 10... and facing her 3 times in such a period of time does not leave her enough time to work on it...

Sharapova will have to play the match of her life just to take a set
