Amy has been playing FANTASTIC this week. Alicia has been to three sets in many of her matches.
Amy for the title.:bounce:

It depends on who wants it more. Alicia has been playing very well since the season began and will have overwhelming hometown support; however, Amy has not been in a final for a while and is heading into the twilight years of her career. As such, Amy may play hardball out there.
Frazier vs. Molik- Molik wins in three for her first title.

Amy's the favorite but Alicia took much confidence out of the matches at Perth.
I guess Alicia wins it in two - maybe 7-5 6-3.

Good luck Amy :)

I was looking over Amy's head to heads and I couldnt believe some of the people she's beat like:
Chana Rubin, Sabatini, Seles, Graf, Novotna, Majoli, Hingis, Sanchez-Vicario, Zvereva, Stevenson, and Martinez.
She's only been to two QF in a grand slam, but she has been around a long time. maybe for the sake of being nostaligic it would be nice to see her win this tournament, probably her last...

I like them both, but I choose Molik for the final :bounce:
Jan 10th, 2003, 04:25 AM
it's molik's first final and therefore would be her first tournament win on the wta tour. i think with that and hometown support as well as confidence and form, alicia will win.
