OMG, you need to pay $15 for live coverage on the site

On the www.asbclassic.co.nz site they've now installed a live streaming webcam. However, you need to pay $14.95 for the privilege of watching it, and seeing live scores. Needless to say I won't be!!!

I'd be willing to subscribe to a tennis channel, or even pay-per-view coverage of a tournament I couldn't watch otherwise. However, at the moment streaming technology, even if you have broadband (which I don't) still is a long way from watching it on television. I don't have any objection to payperview as a principle, but I wouldn't pay it for internet coverage

Especially as it says on the info page that it includes coverage from the 30th of December, but it's actually only starting from the 1st!!!

We can hope someone wanna pay so we can get scores, but they don't mention anything about scores.

Ithink 15$ is cheap to watch your faves playing and get scores, but I don't have any creditcard and can't pay even I want to...I think ppl think this is expensive, coz we never have to pay to get the scores.

it was free last year, and they even had qualifying. no one is going to pay $15 to watch tennis on the internet. people in the americas and europe can't watch most of it anyways because of the time difference.

I remember having problems watching on the live stream last year so I'm not sure if I'm going to pay $15.00 I'll let everyone know if I decide to do it... plus the time??? I work 7-4 EST... I don't want to stay up too late for this.

Yes, the live stream was good last year, but it had quite a few glitches. In fact, I think that other one where Safina won, errm, Sopot (?) was better.

Wat a ripoff...! I think the one ur talkin about bluepastures is Moscow, where they had that live video thing for FREE. :p

where abouts on the site is it?
its probably in NZD so thats about US$7.50 or GB5 pounds or there abouts if its in NZD that is.

No, not Moscow. It may have done, but I watched that on Eurosport. It was one of the smaller WTA tournaments, pretty sure it was Sopot.
