Go Belgium, now beat America <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

Jan 3rd, 2002, 06:47 AM
what was the full score for the mixed doubles?

what do they have to do now to ensure they reach the finals?

Jan 3rd, 2002, 08:30 AM
Clement + Razzano (France) d Malisse + Clijsters (Belgium) 1-6 6-3 10-6

I don't understand the 10-6 though.

Belgium has to beat the USA to go the finals. If Belgium loses, the USA and Belgium are tied, but the USA beat France 3-0, whereas we only beat them 2-1.

10-6 is the super-tiebreak, like a regular tie-break but instead of going to 7 you play to 10

So they don't play a third set, just a tie-break

Hmmm Kimmy was <a href="http://sports.yahoo.com/ten/gallery/20020102/1010042586australia_hopman_cup_per101.html" target="_blank">wearing a white top in her singles match today...</a>

Hopeful that Kimmy and X-Man can win over Monica and JMG.

I liked the red one better, but the white one is a better choice considering the heat.
