Which players are the favourites in this Junior Grand Slam? In my opinion there should be a tight race between Ana Konjuh, Anna Danilina, Antonia Lottner and Anett Kontaveit...

Or do you expect other players to win this slam?

Just saw that they've changed points allocations for Slams and some select other GA tournaments. There will basically three tiers of GA tournaments now.

Regular GA tournament
Round 32 Loser = 30 points
Round 16 Loser = 50 points
Quaterfinals = 80 points
Semifinals = 120 points
Runner-up = 180 points
Winner = 250 points

Super GA tournaments (Italian Open, Orange Bowl, Youth Olympics)
Round 32 loser = 30 points
Round 16 loser = 62.5 points
Quarterfinals = 100 points
Semifinals = 165 points
Runner-up = 225 points
Winner = 312.5 points

Grand Slams
Round 32 loser = 30 points
Round 16 loser = 75 points
Quarterfinals = 120 points
Semifinals = 180 points
Runner-up = 270 points
Winner = 375 points

I approve :yeah:
Previously slam winner would get double (500 points), but now everyone from final 16 gets a bump, so it seems more even now.

This is great, but why not change the round of 32 points as well. It is so much tougher to win a first round here than it is in Mexico and Brazil.

This would make sense, but it would be really difficult to call all the tournaments "GA" if they had completely different points structures :lol: They probably wanted to keep some type of connectivity between GA level tournaments.

Which players are the favourites in this Junior Grand Slam? In my opinion there should be a tight race between Ana Konjuh, Anna Danilina, Antonia Lottner and Anett Kontaveit...

Or do you expect other players to win this slam?

Despite her crap record at GS events, I would add to the list former world #3 Kulichkova.

Ana Konjuh, please win this :)

Her biggest opponents for title are Danilina, Kontaveit, Lottner and Siniakova and one of those can play against Ana only in final, not before :oh:

Kulichkova is in Ana's half.

Just saw that they've changed points allocations for Slams and some select other GA tournaments. There will basically three tiers of GA tournaments now.

Regular GA tournament
Round 32 Loser = 30 points
Round 16 Loser = 50 points
Quaterfinals = 80 points
Semifinals = 120 points
Runner-up = 180 points
Winner = 250 points

Where did you find this? It's not on the ITF Juniors website.

This is a great idea :yeah: About time really. Before it was just the winner of Grand Slams who got bonus points, now it's bonus points for all rounds. And Italian Open and Orange Bowl are definitely the two strongest GA events, so good that they're giving extra points compared to the other three GAs.
