Score was 6-7 6-2 10-8 :worship:
Isner was pretty useless most of the time and Venus really played some epic shots to get herself in winning position in the STB.
GL against Spain now :hearts:

6 set points in the first set...Thank GOD they came through in the end. John had an amazing forehand to get to 6-7 in the tiebreak, though. Love this team, and V really seems to be enjoying herself!

I've noticed that too ! She really loves doubles - and not only with Serena.

Tsonga must be carrying the French team, because he's the only one who has won out of the two.

I also read she carried the team in the first match as well.

NO wonder, she is lethargic in her singles

Venus played really well, going toe to toe with Tsonga a number of times to varying degrees of success. Her experience as a doubles player is seriously impressive to watch. John played ok but his volleys are quite poor but Venus seems to bring the best of him.

Vee ditch Big John please :tape:
I love the way they kept aiming at Isner when he was at the net instead of aiming for Vee when she was there too. :oh:

Mathilde was the best player on court IMO today during Mixed. The women carried the men, particularly Venus. No wonder she may have back pains.

This all the way. Mathilde was clearly the player targeted and she really held her own. :worship: She was winning baseline rallies against Isner ffs

Venus wasn't at her best, but like the champion she is :oh:, she was clutch in important moments. But anyway she was still lightyears better than Isner who was for the most part awful aside from serving as usual. Tsonga for the most part looked like he didn't give a fuck. He was burning Venus with the top spin serve out wide almost every time  and when Venus did hit it well, Isner fucked up somewhere

Sad that USA won't get to play Serbia, it would've been a lot of fun :(
