Dominant second set. Didn't lose a single service game.
Brits on the rise. Torro-Flor should stick to the clay ITFs she can still maintain top 100 by whoring all year. In a few years she might make a break through on hard courts but right now I don't see it based on the stats.

I don't think this can be called a massive surprise. Off clay Tita is very beatable by anyone with a decent all court game. And Konta definitely has that. The odds were very generous being so long on Konta, remembering she is only a plastic Brit so these Aussie courts are like a second home and I would always have had her as favourite.

Nice one JoKo.

So it isn't that bad (I just checked, only two WTA Q wins on hard in Moscow) - Well, she's still young and should improve on HC instead of playing clay tournaments ad nauseam

How sickening, so because she has chosen to make the UK her home and represent the country by playing tennis she's a "plasitc brit?":rolleyes:
Ridiculous.

Johanna is an excellent player, hoping she has a great year. :cheer:
Maria-Teresa is still young so she has some time to improve her HC game. :)

It was not my intention to offend. I just used it to aid the point that the Aussie hard courts suit her.
