First Brazilian in a WTA doubles final since the Curitiba WTA of 1993 where Claudia Chabalgoity, our last doubles TOP 50, and Andreia Vieira, our last Singles TOP 100 lost to the Germans Sabine Hack/Veronika Martinek 6-2/7-6.

After 3 matches lost on hardcourts, the clay season started pretty well for Teliana. First at Fed Cup where she beat Veronica Cepede Royg, sadly she lost in the promotional matches against Canada, in singles and doubles with Pigossi.
In Cali, WTA 125, reached the singles QF :D and as already said rafaelkafka is in doubles final with Florencia Molinero.

Hopefully she would be able to play the Q of another WTA tournament in Colombia this week too.

Colombia, te quiero! Colombia i love you! This is the first time that a Brazilian Players get into the draw of a WTA > 200K without a WC or Lucky Loser in 18 years!

It is like the Colombia AD in CNN, the only risk is to fall in love!

I would never desire anyone to get hurt but we know that many play with injuries so i truly hope that one of them do the right thing and seek medical treatment opening a spot. As i said in other topic, she fought so hard this year and her story coming from the de facto desert here, that we call Sertao, a place so horrible that people chase rats to eat, all mix in a huge sadness for her loss. She is a survivor and a warrior! She'll be the first Brazilian girl in a Slam in singles in 2 decades.

I hope she stop whoring in those 25k when she gets there

The idea is to guarantee a slot in the US OPEN MD.

She'll be in Palermo, Gstaad so she will mix the easy ones with the elite. To be in a slam is a matter of national honor for her after everything she suffered. Last month the confederation here that persecuted her was forced to give back half a million in corrupt money

The girl from the Sertao (Driest, poorest place in Brazil) will be MD in the US OPEN!

If Peer wins, Teliana will be #101.

Teliana in Brazil National TV, Globo, something like ABC/CBS/NBC were a single channel:

http://globoesporte.globo.com/pr/videos/t/edicoes/v/a-tenista-teliana-pereira-teve-um-ano-de-sucesso/2928003/

They honored Phil Collins support to her and Mr. Rayon, the french owner of her academy who took her from catching balls to be a Tennis player and they honored her tribe in the semi-desert part of the country, the Sertao, in the Northeast. She is part an Ancient-Brazilian and an African-Brazilian and many there were part of the Brazilian trail of tears (Dozens of millions) migrating in trucks to the south, being treated like cattle.

Very emotional day, folks, years waiting for this moment and hoping that more than the #top100, after 23 years, that the first participation in a Slam for a Brazilian Woman in so many years finally be a reality in 2 months.

She will play a tournament here in December and than she will move to the tournaments in Plexicushion, an alien surface for a country addicted to clay.

"No, no creo.
"Antes no teníamos ningún torneo.
