So? She came back from injury then had the long streak. Until she was off the clay. Still a pretty good year for her i'd say.

If Peer wins(loses) this it is a joke. She is clearly better than all 9 of these scrubs (bar Eleni maybe). I amongst others don't like her, but she is by no way the worst in the top 100.

Worst (overranked): Cadantu, Arruabarrena-Vecino
Not particularly good but deserve their rank: Doi, Czink, Panova, Torro-Flor, Minella
Definitely deserve their rank: Bratchikova
Daniilidou is not particularly good anymore but her ranking is justified.
Peer is head and shoulders clear, unfortunate that a few injuries have caused some shock losses. Causing her to be a contender for this.

Mostly agree
I believe Peer's votes are based on her Unpopularity...

If we are simply talking about WIN/LOSE thing, Peer shouldn't be on the list.
but I kinda sense, her play style or the attitude largely contributing to her unpopularity,
Since this is pro-tennis, popularity is one of the aspect we need to concern.

Do we wanna see her play paying money??
Above question maybe one of the key to be selected as worst player...

I've seen Cadantu play a few times this year and she thoroughly failed to impress me, so I'll go with her.

The fact that both the Bogota winner and the finalist are among the contenders says something about the (ir)relevance of that tournament and the (poor) quality of its field.

Surprised that Bratchikova only has 3 votes. She can't even win a 25k tournament in Africa or India. This year she has lost to players like Piquion, Savinykh, Zahlavova, Cabeza-Candela, Barrois, Craybas, Ozgen, Dinu, Perrin, Broady and Eraydin. And she had some tough 3-setters against some players outside the top 200 :tape:

Peer has sucked the worst this year. I don't hate the girl. I hate watching her struggle to win points. She sticks out and got my vote because I didn't see these other players because most of them didn't make the main draws. I did see Cadantu stink up the court also. It was a toss up between the two for me. I went with Peer because in relation to her career she is the worst right now. The others never achieved what she did. She was 13 in the world in 2010. It's disgusting what she has become. It's not that she couldn't beat the other players on the list but she has become a shell of herself and is the worst right now. The worst ever for her to be.

I think an important point to make is the number of times we have witnessed these players play. I'm fair certain any WTA fan will have seen a Peer match. But how many have seen Torro play especially considering the fact she only has 4 main daw matches?
Panova Vecino Cadantu Czink are not big names, so obviously will not be on the show courts therefore it would be unethical to vote for these players because you cannot for certain say she is worse than any others.

MashaAzarenka
Dec 29th, 2012, 11:42 PM
