You forgot THE match where she played her absolute peak: the worst career loss of Serena Williams.

I did consider it, but I decided on tournaments where she was peak for the whole tournament or almost the whole tournament.

Which is why I also scrubbed AO 97 where Martina didn't bow down to the TF Lord and became a blasphemer :o

I think so too ;)

I went more for Peak Tournaments. Peak Pierce was a phenomenon not just engendered to one match. I just put one match from each tournament in the first post.

Mary had a lot of great matches but she also had a lot of GREAT tournaments where she showed her Divineness for a full week.

It couldn't have been Peak Pierce then.

Pierce had 41 winners and 12 UEs and lost. Peak Legend is just on a whole different level :bigwave:

I know Peak Pierce is some kind of joke on here but her ballstriking was incredibly good at times.

There is no joke. "Peak Pierce" is generally regarded as the highest level of womens tennis there is.

Peak Peak Pierce was clearly Hilton Head 2000 when she absolutely murdered everyone that week to win the title, then quickly morphed into Peak Shite Pierce the next week when she lost to Germana Di Natale (who?) in Madrid.

Peak Pierce probably reached the highest level ever on clay so I would automaticaly pick a clay match or tournament as my choice, either 94 French Open or 2000 Hilton Head. Even her peak levels could be beaten by some other players in history on hard courts, carpet, and obviously by hundreds of people on grass, lol!

Watch the first 5 games of her 4th around against Justine at the US Open 2005. she gave us a glimpse of Peak Pierce there.
