If she's healthy, gets back her 2009 level then she can.

She's only still 27. I don't see why not. She has all it takes. It just depends on how motivated she is and of course, her fitness. I miss her

Hopefully she can get back to lower end Top 10 by end of 2013 but, as previous posters, really depends how much motivation there is.

If she can stop choking and start beating the likes of LaBorz she would stand a chance (i'd say top ten rather than top 5 though). Otherwise no.

She'll win her next slam in 2014! Following the 5-year gap rule of course :p.

As for this,Sveta will always be some of the best all-court players. But her mentality is so fucked up right now,so I don't think she will ever be a top 5 player. Top 15 maybe :)

She needs to stop spinning to ball so much and start going for winners again by using her great forehand. Unless she does that, she won't be back in the top 10 in my opinion.

Can she? Sure.

I think she'll have a totally left field Mary Pierce-like resurgence in a couple years before fading into the sunset.

I don't think so, she can get back in the top 10 eventually if she gets motivated and in form again but the top 5 is kinda tough to be at the moment, the top 3 are a safe bet to stay there for a while and with the chance that Sveta would draw one of those 3 early it's a slim chance for her to make big progress in a year at least. Unless she gets lucky with her draw I don't see her in the top 10 next year...after that it's hard to say, she sure has top 10 talent

Top 10 for sure. She wants an all-Russian RG final against "Mashenka" :oh:

If Anyone can do it then it is her. Will she do it though? I don't think so. Maybe top 10.

Sveta sounds more motivated now she has had a break from the tour. She's training in Spain, which is better for her game than Savchenko

I think she'll be top 5 again but I'm biased

Of course she can. Doubt it though.

If she can get back to top 5 yes, but being realistic top 10 is more attainable.

Can she? Yes
Will she? NO

She does not have the mental fortitude to do it. Plus her physical condition has been a problem for a number of years.

i dont think so............but i definately think she will win another french open as she is hands down the best clay court play out there, probly beating top five players in straight sets and humiliating them. as for doing that for 52 weeks a year............no chance! she can catch fire for a week, but not actually consistent play x

I wish, but no. To me she's significantly slower than she used to be and her footwork has declined, her serve has declined a ton, and her forehand isn't as deadly. How much of that is injuries and how much of that is legitimate decline, we'll see. But I don't see her regaining enough consistency on all surfaces to be top 5. Top 8-16, I can see.

On clay, though, she can be a major factor.

The situation is more than clear: She has a lot of talent and in this aspect it should be no problem to reach the Top 5 again ;). But it's all about Svetas head so I guess we all have to wait and see. The only one who knows it is Sveta herself.

I don't think so. She was great and then she started sucking.

Only if she makes Virginia Wade her coach. (And no....I'm not kidding)

Yes she can, as long as she regains some of her old form. Make that forehand work again and most important is her motivation
