Fantastic thread. This is the best off-season one ever.

Hard not to go with Andy.

Please, will someone start one with favorite gal-pal of Martina. Rita Mae Brown, Judy Nelson, etc. Equal rights means equal time!

Greg Norman. Biggest career achievement: The Biggest Choker in sport Ever.

He lost playoffs at all four majors and, all up, had eight runner-up finishes at the big ones - plus four more thirds, four more top-5s and five more top-6s.

Chrissie has a soft spot for ones with Xssie-like hairstyle ( except Andy who knows to use something else to compensate for his hair). Now Henin is in for a chance ( those endless praises must come from somewhere).

GOAT off season poll :worship: I voted Martina ;)

We should also do fave boyfriend ( or girlfriend :p ) of a few of the more popular players on TF poll ;) Like Masha, Vee, Rena, Hingis, Petra, J-Cap ( :oh: ) etc. Or maybe even fave coach of a WTA player. CoCo and Vera's coaches would do very well, IMO

Hel! Long time no insult. I thought I was banned from here until they sent me a birthday message. They must be using my American birth certificate. My new Papua New Guinean one has me at 42 this year.

As for Chrissie, she woulda stayed with John longer but he was such a porn freak! He loved it. When Chrissie was winning her last Wimbledon he was in a sex shop in London and that was the marriage pretty much up. Then add the fact Chrissie didn't like monogamy. I'm not saying Chrissie was a slut, but she's had more pricks than Courtney Love's heroin vein!

I completely agree. Chrissie and Jimbo were the supreme power couple in tennis in the early 70's. Unfortunately, it didn't last long...

LOL at the husband Slam! It reminded me of Pam Shriver's tour diary (from 1984 or 1985), Passing Shots, where Pam points out that Chris played doubles with an Australian player for the Australian Open, a French player for the French Open, and a British player for Wimbledon that year. She adds, "I wonder if she's going to play with Carling Bassett for the Canadian player." And then a few weeks later, it turns out Chris DOES play with Carling there. Then Pam adds, "But they're scheduled to play the U.S. Open together, too. I guess Miss America wasn't available to play with Chris." :D

Jimmy Connors. How is he not in the poll? If Jimmy knew that he was being left out of this very important conversation, he would doubtless tell all of you to "go fuck yourselves".

I think we now need to vote on who would be her ideal French husband no 4!

I vote for Gael Monfils, because he is exactly the right age to be son fils and I think Chris would make a lovely cougar!

Or maybe Yannick Noah - to celebrate 30 years since they won RG together!
