No livestream this year then?

Also did Arakawa get injured or something? She looked poised to breakout on the junior circuit last year.

Russia :cheer:
wow Elizaveta :)

Sep 26th, 2012, 09:41 PM
I think it's between Russia and USA, with USA even slighty favourite maybe

I've never heard of any of the Chinese girls at all...

Sep 27th, 2012, 01:04 AM
Neither, China has so many better players!! So Oz need to beat Latvia and Paraguay need to beat Mexico. Fat chance  Naiktha is really letting us down here, Lizette should have been in this team.

Sep 27th, 2012, 03:06 AM
Usa! Usa! Usa!

Sep 27th, 2012, 11:56 AM
I don't know why Julia Payola is not here, not that she has a lot of chances against good players two years older, but right now she is better than Badosa and Luque, and she is a good doubles players.
Sara is doing well, but the team is very far from being competitive

Sep 27th, 2012, 02:07 PM

Russia won both singles :) :D

Sep 27th, 2012, 02:31 PM
Do we know how the SFists will be drawn? Random or is it set as A vs. D and B vs. C or something?

Sep 27th, 2012, 02:33 PM
It will be A v B and C v D

Sep 27th, 2012, 04:09 PM
USA will play Brazil in 1-4 play off, according to Caro Meligeni Alves's twitter

Sep 27th, 2012, 04:24 PM
^Yep, and Paraguay vs. Russia.

Sep 27th, 2012, 06:41 PM
^Australia got it despite having worse rubber win/loss record and set ratio than Paraguay. Guess H2H is tiebreak.

Sep 28th, 2012, 02:35 AM
Wallace beat Ostapenko  :yeah:

Sep 28th, 2012, 02:51 AM
Great work girls

Hives has been so good all week, if it goes to a live doubles rubber in the SF they really should play her and Wallace. Can't really see anyone beating the US but hopefully they get a shot in the final.

Sep 28th, 2012, 06:18 AM
^ I'd be very very surprised if they beat Russia.

Sep 28th, 2012, 02:19 PM
^I will be too since Taylor is injured now it seems. Came back from the rain delay and must have hurt herself somehow.

Sep 28th, 2012, 03:34 PM
So unfair for Paraguay
Good luck Bia :shout: ,Carolina

Sep 28th, 2012, 07:00 PM
I find surprising that Spain is going to fight for the 5th place. Sorribes won all our points, individual and doubles.
Tomorrow very interesting match against Lottner

Sep 29th, 2012, 12:42 AM
Great effort for Brazil, congratulations girls

Sep 30th, 2012, 02:03 AM

*Spain finished 5th after beating seeded teams of Germany, Italy and Egypt (and unseeded Korea). Every tie finished 2-1 as #2 Spanish player always lost her match while #1 player Sorribes Tormo won all her singles and doubles this week. (except her 3 set loss vs Townsend)

*Spain only qualified for the finals as a WC host team as it didn't qualify this summer in the European zonal qualys (with the same players) finishing out of the top 8 teams in Europe :spit:
