first itf semifinal for tatishvili this year after wins over Foertz gacon, cirstea and minella. ;)


Good results, nevertheless.

Minella had a set point.

Minella fought hard until 0-4, then gave up.

Got to give Anna credit, won the 1st set with 30 errors and struggled with her serve all night.

People don't give Anna the credit she deserves...very talented young player. :yeah:

Didnt make it to the 4th round here at te US Open.Lost to Anna Tatishvili 75 60.Had a setpoint in the first,but Anna raised her level and played some good tennis.I defenitely had the best support,thanks to all the Luxies who were there cheering for me.This is an amazing feeling to have people who support us.Now i m going to to some nice shopping in NYC before flying home and getting ready for the Asia trip.

Anna seems to be finally breaking through :D I don't think she'll ever be Top 20 but it's nice to see her having a great year and heading towards Top 50. I remember when she beat Mirza as Miami as a 15 year old in 2006 and it took her a long time to even break Top 100. It didn't even happen until last year. But she's definitely still moving up. :yeah:

Her run ends against Vika though :p

Keep on bitching about Mandy all you want. She has improved nearly 100 places in 12 months and will be ranked inside top 70 in both singles and doubles next week.

I am not really suprised, I watched Tatishvili play Wozniacki in Oz and she should of won a set at least, with the crumbling draw its not really a suprise she came through this well done to her and enjoy the moment against Vika, tbf if cirstea had a brain this would be hers but she does not...
