View Full Version : USO R2 Ustable LI Na [9] d. Dellacqua 6:4 6:4 with mini-bagel

Aug 29th, 2012, 08:35 PM
Very unstable Err-NA showed up in the 1st half of set 2. mini-bagel comeback with many break points saved

No commanding advantage and some reckless hit.

 worrying about the possible Klijsters matchup in R3.

Dellacqua from *4-0 to 4-6:lol: :help:

Aug 29th, 2012, 08:39 PM
From 0-4* down :o

Aug 29th, 2012, 08:40 PM
Typo on aisle 4! "Ustable"

Anyway, Na was always going to win this, just a matter of how ugly.

Aug 29th, 2012, 08:42 PM
would of been a 3rd set had she not improve mentally or against a stronger opponent.

Aug 29th, 2012, 08:42 PM
I'd given up on that second set... need to have more faith in my faves. ;)

Good win, NaNa. :yeah:

Thoguht Casey played really well

She did. Good to see her playing consistently again :)

Aug 29th, 2012, 08:50 PM
to be honest, this had CRAP all written in it. from the start.

Wow :tape:

Casey outplayed her rank for sure. She got a bit distracted after leading *4:0 in second set when she was serving for a 5:0 lead...She def took advantage of Li Na's 2nd serve during that long eighth game in the 2nd set and kept hitting return winners.

Glad Li Na won last 6 games of the match to finish the match in 2 sets. Maybe she has hit too many topspins? She doesn't seem to be aggressive enough to face Kim next round. It feels like Casey was in control of a lot of rallies...

Good luck next round, Li Na! Don't think about Sam (who would like to spend a day in Central Park in her opinion) yet!

dellacqua  no words

Aug 29th, 2012, 09:14 PM
The 4-love lead of Delaqua is a bigger stunt than Na's 6-straight games that came after.

Aug 29th, 2012, 09:40 PM
Hopefully someone from Li Na's camp is watching this Kim & Laura fight...

Aug 29th, 2012, 09:50 PM
Something's off in Li's game.

Aug 29th, 2012, 11:03 PM
Na come on :cheer:

Aug 29th, 2012, 11:09 PM
Only thing i can say is well fought and good recovery in that second set. Hopefully she can build confidence on that, carlos is still doing a good job i think. Now against Laura.

Aug 29th, 2012, 11:09 PM
Proud of Casey for keeping it close against an in-form NaNa :yeah: Hope she can finish off the year with some more good results.

Aug 29th, 2012, 11:17 PM
Robson may dispatch Na as well if Na doesn't use her Carlos super confidence abilities.

Aug 29th, 2012, 11:43 PM
I don't see a good future for Li Na, at least in this USO, after this match. Though striing flat and hard, her playing is just too single-toned and too easy for opponents to fit, and it's too late to learn to have any variety now.

6-0 end :hearts:

Aug 30th, 2012, 10:34 AM
not so good, but at least she won. na must be relieved that there will be no clijsters waiting for her in rd 3. ;)

I disagree with most of the posts:
Good match.

Although there were up-and-downs, although Casey lead 4-0 to lose it 4-6, it was a good match.

Great rallies,
Dellacqua played very well - some great rallies.
Li played very well in times.

With that kind of form Na is going nowhere this tournament. She would have to play her best to get past Stosur and Azarenka back to back to even reach the semis, and I could even see her going out to Robson with how both are playing now.
