Rodionova was moaning too much to focus on tennis.

Don't expect much from Rodionova

Two good things about this match: Rodionova lost and Rodionova didnt win. Also I'm moderately happy with this raise of from of Lepchenko. She deserves her 5 months of fame and she might as well take the most of it. Almost top20 now and little points to defend this year...

good god that was an absolute shit fest from rodionova..she really just gave lepchenko a free pass into the 3rd round...i mean 4 winners and 26 errors? she should be ashamed.

the sad part is, playing like that she stil broke lepchenko twice. you wonder what would have happened if she actually played well today

Good riddance

It's indeed a little surprising to see Lepchenko at #22, but I'm pleased with it.

A fews years ago, Lepchenko was the epitome of a journeywoman and now she's basically a win away from being a top 20 player.

Lepchenko has improved. She's had fewer niggling injuries, and she has her citizenship resolved. No doubt that has helped. She's got more game than Rodionova. Well done, Varvara.

Varvara is very consistent since last yearīs spring...already before RG 2011 there was a sign she is improving, she had some nice results and matches and now she is heading even towards TOP 20...I must admit I have no idea how she managed to get THAT high already and itīs surprising even for me that she can enter TOP 20 soon as she isnīt that visible - I mean she is not winning tournaments or pulling shocking upsets, but obviously being consistent enough or/and taking advantage from draws is better than winning some random big matches and then losing in first rounds next X tournaments.

Bitch is crazy. I believe Louise Pleming is now her coach and Nastya was going crazy at her. Mouthing off to her about the game plan not working. And then they get into a verbal discussion where Louise says "Be prepared for the forceful shot down the middle''. Nastya continued to talk and then umpire chimes in with 'stop.' How about coaching violation?
