No problem, no one really would have expected her to beat a top 15-palyer in her 2nd match back.

Now she should work hard on what didn't work today and then we'll see waht happens in NY :)

I was there and got to watch it live. It was pretty obvious that Petko is still rusty, she just couldn't get much consistent depth on the ball and it was playing right into Pome's hands. She also didn't serve particularly well (until the last game where she cracked 2 aces, I guess she had nothing to lose at that pt :lol:) Actually the match was really in Domi's hands because whenever she timed the ball correctly, she was winning the points. There was a stretch in the first set where Pome literally couldn't get a ball in the court and that's why the first set looked closer than it is :hug: Once Pome found her range again, it was pretty much NID.


Successful tournament for Petko anyway :hug: Hope she has a good draw at the USO. :yeah: I really wanted to see her do the Petkodance at the end :lol:

Not a bad draw Petko! Bartoli is definately one of the weakest seeds, so third round should very well be possible. Possible third round Hantuchova-Pavly, will be tougher. Anyway, super glad she's playing again. Try to win some matches!

Not excepting anything this year. Just second tournament so every win is a bonus :)
Even Oprandi can be tough already. She has a difficult game for a lot of players.

I got a somewhat technical question: Because she finished top 10 last year, Andrea can only play 1 MM tournament in the second half of 2012, right? Is she allowed to compete in ITF tournaments though? She could pick up some very well needed points there but I'm not even sure whether she can possibly play those events...

War einfach herzzerreißend sie so zu sehen. Scheiß Verletzung :fiery:

Sie hat sich bemüht, sehr gut gekämpft. Aber ist jetzt praktisch wieder bei Null. Das wird ein langer Weg zurück. Keine Matchpraxis. Die Bälle oft viel zu kurz. Der Aufschlag sehr schwach, nur ein Einwurf. Damit kann man keinen Blumentopf gewinnen. Das hat einem schon wehgetan das zu sehen. Andrea brauch einfach Zeit, und viel Geduld.
