:worship: Bryan/Raymond
:sad: Lisicki and Kas. They both looked devastated and Lisicki was in tears.

Poor Sab. She was just a joy to watch with her happy demeanour, but devastated at the end. :bigcry:

No reason to cry, nobody expected them to go this far... great performance. Them doing the wave with the crowd was cute :D

Oh Liza, I'm happy for you, but you should have won against the Russians and leave this to Bine

Well deserved, especially Raymond. :yeah:

Really disappointing. Sabine put so much effort into the Olympics and achieved nothing. As expected, Raymond/Bryan proved to be the bigger hurdle than Robson/Murray. Happy that a scrub like Robson didn't made a gold medal.

That is REALLY bullshit.

Stop your nonsense, could you be any more stereotypical German?

Nobody even expected the mixed to go this far, they played two very experienced doubles players.. this "it's never enough" attitude is really disgusting.

Lisicki will have other chances, while Raymond will turn 43 during the 2016 Olympics. This really and truly was her last chance for a medal. So happy that after getting snubbed in 2000 and 2008, she finally made it happen!

I'd love to see some of these teams pair up again during the US Open. Even though the men play 3 out of 5 sets, a couple of no-ad sets and a super-tiebreak shouldn't be too physically taxing.

if kas had given sabine any kind of support last night then they would have been playing for gold. I just feel so bad for sabine, with a better partner maybe she would have even won gold

She had every reason to cry because she wanted a medal. Obviously she wasn't far away from this if you lose twice a MTB. Now she's only one of the usual German floppers at this Olympics.

Nobody knows what will be in 4 years, except you're a clairvoyant.

give her a break. Like i said if sabine had a more capable partner she probably would have been playing for gold today. Kas was useless most of the time

I wouldn't say Kas was useless or they wouldn't have had the chance to play for ANY medal. But Bryan & Raymond are experienced & honed doubles specialists. Sabine clearly wears her heart on her sleeve. Plays with a smile but clearly cares & fights during the points. I hear what Cilly says - 4th is nowhere in these events. But the taking part also means something & Sabs - & Chris - will take out the good bits, of which there were many. Just not right now!

Britain loves Sabine, make no mistake.

Sabine/Kas :bigcry:

Heartbreaking loss. Really sad to see Sabine crying after they lost. She wanted a medal so much. Sabine/Kas played fantastic tennis in 2nd set, only to fuck it up in Match TieBreak, they quickly went down 2-9. Surprised how well Kas played, a much improved performance compared to his weak SF performance. If only Kas had played like this against the Brits, then a final could`ve been possible. Still it was really a fun match, very entertaining. Great atmosphere, the Laola wave. Tough loss, but Sabine/Kas lost against the best players in the world. Murray and Bryan served too well. The win over Huber/Bryan was amazing, nobody expected them to reach the SF here. Very proud of Sabine/Kas, they gave everything they had and fought very hard. Better luck in Rio 2016!

Oh Thank God. Losing 4 matches in a row at the Olympics would have killed her. Absolutely killed her. Congrats on FINALLY being an Olympic Medalist!

I thought Raymond didn't go because Huber told MJF she'd rather play with Lindsay

They actually showed more of the mixed doubles with Sabine on German TV than from any other draw :D
