Yesssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was so funny when they ran into each other...although I don't think Venus found it funny!

Great display. They were never really threatened. I expected it to be a bit tougher.

Sad to see Errani crying at the end.

Did anyone else watch on BBC? That Italian guy who was sitting near their microphone was sooooooo annoying. Then they started showing shots of him and he started to annoy me even more. He seemed a little bit crazy. The people sitting near him seemed to be laughing at him. I wish he had shut up for more than a minute at a time. That would've made the match more enjoyable!

Anyway, the sisters have a 75% chance of winning a medal now!!

(Probably a bit more than a 75% chance if we're being honest :P)

They were both so sharp! Into the semis. Venus might have injured herself though at that point at 6-1 *2-1 *30-40. Her and Serena both called for the ball and kinda crashed into eachother, causing Venus to fall to the ground, and she was stretching her leg for a while afterwards. Hopefully she'll be alright. :scared:

Rough draw for the Italians. They had a good shot at bronze IMO, so it sucks that they won't even get to play for a medal. :( WS on grass isn't even a fair matchup for them. :o

I can't believe they won that point after the clash. It was a break back point to even things at 2-2. The Italians were too busy watching them bump and lost focus.

 Yeah I noticed the Italian guy too, his antics were annoying but funny because he was still believing in his team.

I was VERY scared after the crash, the way Venus kept rubbing her leg and limping but she seemed okay.

I'm very satisfied with this result. I'm hoping NBC will have a replay online later. Impressive scoreline.

He really needed to give it up  He was making such a big deal every time his team scrambled their way to winning a point! I suppose I'd be the same, supporting my team til the end - except not so loud, repetitive or dumb.

Yeah, the crash was funny but I think Venus was hurt. She looked a bit pissed for a second! I think she shook it off after a few points though.

Errani was crying when she left the court

Well, expected. Errani and Vinci have been the best team throughout the year, they were undefeated during the clay season and reached AO final. And then appear the Williams sisters and steal anything from them - losses in Wimbledon and the Olympics (prior the medal stage) and in singles as well. Errani has never felt like one of the best players on tour - but she is, she is for now and she does not believe she will be in the same form 4 years later. This was their best ever chance for a medal, and they lost it.

Sometimes it's not just for winning another gold, another slam, overcoming a disease or whatever. It's that others players want to have their place in history of sport, too.

Can't blame anyone for being too good.

It is about winning.

Actually, in 4 years Roby will most likely be focused on doubles and Sara might be too, which IMO makes them THE team to beaton clay in Rio.
