I can't get the idea of this entry list. Olympics mixed doubles should be for doubles specialists and some "losers" that have lost early in the singles.
They could have get, for example, Paszek/Melzer and Pironkova/Dimitrov in the draw in spite of Radwanska, Kerber, Errani, Lisicki, Vinci as all of them have already entered the singles and the doubles competition. ITF tries so much to include countries that have no traditions in tennis - they could have handed a spot to the Tunisian pair. Entering in no more than 2 competitions should be allowed. :o

Azarenka and Mirny are going to win it all for me.

Can someone explain how in the world does Italy and Germany deserves a second team before Canada get its first?
What a shame.

I have no idea. The german teams are BYEs, it's a shame, I wanted Wozniak/Nestor :o

Did Canada had a good enough female to make up the doubles? If so, there must be some other explanation for them not entering....

GB have a good little team but there are so many GOAT teams in the draw its hard to see them doing much.

Nestor is World #1 and Wozniak is #52. I mean, that's very solid.
Lisicki/Kas has NO PLACE whatsoever in that draw.

Spain and Canada should've teams in the field. What a joke.

Very weird that Clijsters/rochus didn't get a wildcard. There both Grand Slam winners in doubles and Kim is ancient nr. 1.

I mean Lindstedt/Arvidsson????? wtf

Errani is scheduled for two matches almost at the same time xD

Doubles at 5:30 with Williams on Court 2
Mixed at 7:00 with Bryan/Raymond on Court 20

After losing the first one she'll be in a terrible mood and lose the second :P

Daniela should've gone it too. Career Grand Slam in Mixed.

Re-do the draw and take out Sweden, 1x Germany, 1x Italy and Australia.

For Canada :spit:

Sam and Lleyton have both won doubles Grand Slams and you would rather Nestor and doubles mug Wozniak to be in there instead?

The Australian and British WC makes sense. GBR has to have a team in every Olympic event so it was inevitable.

The Swedish WC was confirmed ages ago - why, I don't know, but whatever.

If the ITF didn't screw Date Krumm over ...... they could have given Nishikori/Date Krumm a WC and represent Asia who has no representatives other than India.

That's quite weird, indeed.

I really do find it odd Clijsters and Rochus, both grand slam winners, aren't even on the reserve list...

Apparently Todd Woodbridge is helping them prepare, so maybe he can help them gel a bit better than they did in the Hopman Cup.

Mirza & Paes

Being an Indian, i support Mirza Paes, but i think Mirnyi Azarenka have a better chance. Mike/Raymond vs Mirnyi/Azarenka in finals.
