View Full Version : Na Got The Tuffest Draw @ OG But Don't Forget She Beat WimbyChamp Williams @ 08 OG QF

I just saw the 2012 OG WS draw and I have to say that the bottom half is a cakewalk, with Maria and Agnieszka walking away with the easiest draws ... I mean Maria getting ITF level Shahar, injured Martic and her pigeon Samantha while Agatha pulls error prone Julie who she will send to the bakery and the jackpots Cepede, Duque Marino

meanwhile my fave Na, the 2010 Wimbledon Quarterfinalist, who loves playing for China (unless it is doubles), pulled the shortest straw in the whole pile :sobbing:

1R 2002 Wimbledon Quarterfinalist Daniela
2R 2011, 2012 Quarterfinalist Tamira
R16 2009 Eastbourne Champ / the Karlovic of the SEWTA Karolina
QF 5x Wimbledon Champ Serena
SF 5x Wimbledon Champ Venus or World #1 Viktoria

this seems like an impossible draw but if anyone can do it is Na ... after wasting cakewalks in Roland Garros and Wimbledon she is due to have a great result with a hard draw :scared:

don't forget in 2008 she dumped the reigning Wimbledon Champ Vinas Williams in the Olympics Games QF ... will thunder strike twice in the 2012 QF :hearts:

You're an Idiot :hug::hug:

Draw Aga:

1R: Goerges
2R: Lepchenko
3R: Kirilenko
QF: Kvitova(the hardest)
...

it is easy :rolleyes::rolleyes:

yes I would trade Aga's draw for Na's draw anyday

Julia can't even win a match in a MM these days :smash:

Lepchenko is a inferior version of Aga :sobbing:

Aga is in Makiri's head after Wimbledon

and Petra is a much easier QF draw than Serena :bigwave:

Yeah it's going to be even harder for Na to beat Venus this time since she doesn't have home crowd advantage.

Edit: Nvm. Just saw the draw. Serena is gonna beat her.

Na's last match was a loss to Cirstea on grass. Just putting that out there.

Isn't Aga's draw hard? Varvara and Kirilenko had great Wimbledon's...Na has to beat a woeful Hantuchova (wow, a QF on grass TEN fucking years ago!), Tamira (no harder than Kirilenko right now) and Caroline (who, quite honestly, is garbage now). Na's is definitely tougher, but Aga wasn't given a cakewalk.

Who is Li Na?

Li's biggest threat is herself to be honest. On her day, she can beat absolutely anyone. Thing is, I don't think even she knows when those days are anymore these days. :hysteric:

Na is nothing with the local serve she has now. She needs her late-2008 to mid-2010 serve.

Hard to say, as this is the Olympics, but if I had to make a guess, Serena has a pretty difficult draw.

Serena

1st rd - Jelena Jankovic - Though she's been in a slump, she and Serena have a near equal H2H and Jelena always gives Serena fits on court (4-5).

2nd rd - Mona Barthel - Neither have played the other, but new players are always question marks. And at #38, Mona Barthel may prove to be a worthy opponent while representing her country (Germany).

3rd rd - Vera Zvonareva - Vera's H2H with Rena is 3-6, but she made it to the Wimbledon Finals last year. Soooo, she's got the game for grass.

Qtrs - Li Na or Caroline Wozniacki - both can be, and are dangerous when deep in the draws.

*Someone may want to check me on these possible match-ups*

I have to go with Rena for the Gold though.
She's been working her way up to this very moment.
She will be stoked, match-ready, and primed to do some damage.

Considering how Na chokes and Tamira is GOAT when facing MP's, it might be another R2 exit for Na.
