Parra and Kalhorn went to $yracuse. Or there actually weren't enough players and they snuck in, but had to have the WC attachment. I think Mallory might have a main wildcard, if not, definitely for doubles.

Kristie plays at Stanford. In 2010-2011, she had an amazing freshman year, but the last month injured her ankle. For most of the 2011-2012, she was sidelined due to her ankle and a foot injury. She only played a handful of matches, but she should be healthy and ready to have a good summer.

Krista is playing the challenger in Waterloo. Probably knew she wasn't going to get into the draw beforehand.

Parra and Kalhorn always seem to get WCs into USA ITFs too.
Where is Mallory Cecil? I remember I think she had like 1 GS win I think?

Lol I know who they are, I was just shocked to see them playing qualifying in a WTA tournament - they aren't at that level.

Usually Stanford gives incoming recruits a QWC, and given that Krista has a pretty decent WTA ranking I'm surprised she's not here.

(This is wishful thinking) but maybe Krista de-committed and that's why she's not here/didn't get a WC.
Also I wonder why Tan is not here.

My theory is that Krista wants to play an ITF for more ranking points.
