OMG how sad are they. Thank god I wasnt there cause I would have probably beat the crap out of them and gotten into trouble with the law. But why didn't she tell the bus driver?

I'm speechless. :o

Some kids are just horrendous. I just can't believe they would think it's okay to sit there and constantly rain insults and threats down on this poor old lady. I can only imagine what their peers who may also be so-called "fat asses" must go through as well.

Uh, I'll get bullied if it gets me 480,000 dollars.

Seriously though, it's ridiculous how awful kids can be and it starts with the parents. Even though we all weren't perfect when we were kids, I can't remember ever doing something even close to that.

Looks like she may want to thank those kids. She's now more than $500,000 richer. Okay it'll only be around $300,000 after taxes.

:yeah:

I know none of my siblings every behaved like that, nor did I. It would not have been acceptable in my family. The parents have failed them, though, obviously, peer pressure and the acceptance of rude/cruel behavior in society also has something to do with it.

Those little brats should be forced to walk to and from school every day. They should have to clean the school toilets, too.

Good to see that everyone is outraged by this. Unfortunately we're a lot more tolerant when bullying happens under our very noses, like the serial insulting of tennis players by nearly always the same posters at TF (and yes, I know that the mens tennis forum is even worse - so what?). Of course this is on a whole different level, but the personality of those posters and the kids on this bus isn't all that different in my opinion. They just pick on an easy target and everyone else joins in to show the ring leaders that they are as cool as the rest of the riff-raff. As for this incident - I'm glad for the money that was raised for her and I hope she will have a wonderful life.

Those little brats need to be beaten till they can't sit any more :fiery:

Kids these days are ridiculous. I don't know how any teacher puts up with them or their parents. I have a friend who is a teacher at a public school who comes home crying every day because of how bad the kids are. And the parents are just as bad. One day she caught this girl stealing all the chalk from the room and called her mom about it. The mother accused the teacher of planting the chalk in the girl's desk because the teacher had a personal grudge against the little girl. :fiery: Yes... as if my friend closed her eyes and ran her finger down the names in the roll book and decided to spend the time and effort to randomly choose a kid to accuse of stealing for that day and to haul the parent in for a conference before school hours at 6 am

I can't figure out why the parents are always in denial thinking, "oh it couldn't be my little angel." Wake up dumb asses! Your kids are devilish brats because of your poor parenting. Maybe that's why. Parents are in denial about what piss poor parents they really are.

I just watched it. It's strange to me. Not to excuse the stupid kids but wtf? She could have got up, told the driver to stop the bus and had him put the kids off. Why did she just sit there? And didn't the driver hear what was going on?

And in the strangest twist - the kids themselves uploaded the vid? That shows how twisted they really are. What did they think was going to happen when people saw it.

That's not bullying since it's not being done to the person. But I agree with you that on some level the willingness to insult/denigrate is not that different.

Then when one of them gets hurt the News would be all about the "innocent teenager" who was brutalized.

If that's so then the 68yo woman must have deserved it right? Anyway you missed my point. What I mean is that often nowadays when an adult steps in and a teen gets injured, the community and media hype is that the teen was some "innocent child." The lead-up gets buried or disbelieved and the adult is made out to be the culprit.

It`s hard to believe that this is a true story and not a fake.
The extention of stupidity of these kids and the whole story with video, donation campaign, etc. is weird.
If that all is true, how might this old lady feel about her sudden increase in prosperity ?
I guess she will donate the money to a borstal or something.

There's no subtitles :( can someone sum it up for me? Based on what I've read in this thread so far, this is disgusting..... ugh. People.

i am kinda surprised by the amount of money  these kids deserve to be punished and she deserved to be "rewarded" , to treated with respect, etc... but that much money? there are many victims of bullying everyday who don't get a single penny.
But at least, there is a compensation for her ! :)
