She was one of the hyped Russian juniors, represented Russia for junior fed cup qualies and world junior tennis tournament. What happened to her?

She was one of the hyped Russian juniors, represented Russia for junior fed cup qualies and world junior tennis tournament. What happened to her?

I think she got carried away a lot by all the hype that has been around her. As a young tennis coach I know how difficult it is to keep your players head 100% in the game, especially for girls when they got to the age of 14 and on .. She simply doesnt work as hard as she should at the moment .. Unfortunately, she is unlucky enough and just hasnt got the right people beside her that could help her get out of her current situation and this is a cruel sport in which even though she is still very young, she is running out of time ..

Main reason for her not playing as well as she should/could is a horrible choice of coaches, she and her parents were so naive and gave huge amount of money to people who dont have a clue about tennis ( dont want to give exact numbers and write people names) . Even worse it took them so long to finally realise that .. she is at the same level if not worse than she was 2 years ago, and I think you realise how crucial hard work and dedication to the game at that age is.
Huge damage has been done to her, and if she wants to get back to where she was, she will need to work much harder than she is working at the moment. I wish her very best but I seriously doubt she will ever raise back to expectations people had of her. On the other hand, she could concentrate on finishing school and going to college, she is still very very good for that ..
