I think that Fox News is a much better comedy show than Saturday Night Life, it goes:

MadTV >>>>>>>>>> Fox News >> Saturday Night Life

For the same reason people find racist jokes funny. Don't tell me you've never made a light-humored joke about someone because of their ethnicity/skin color, or even personality.. no need to jump up at the very mention of sexism.

The sad thing about this video is that FOX news is wholly and intrinsically conservative stick up the ass bullshit. It would be funny if it were actually a joke - but unfortunately....

As this is a tennis forum it cannot be expected that insightful germane political postings would grace its threads. As an example this poster apparently from Germany seems to have heard of Fox News Network, and I gather from the quoted reference he deems it out of the mainstream and deplores the fact that Fox News has a significant audience. I think most would agree that Fox News presents a conservative viewpoint in its broadcasts whereas its competitors: CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC and NBC not to mention most of the print media present a liberal viewpoint.

This poster might be interested in discovering that in an annual Gallop polling, 40% of Americans identify themselves as conservatives, 35% identify themselves as moderates and 21% identify themselves as liberals.

Source: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0112/71385.html

Does it not strike this poster as odd that Fox News champions the viewpoint of a plurality of Americans whereas its competitors espouse the viewpoint of the tinier minority group of Americans? It might explain why Fox News trounces CNN and MSBC substantially in ratings and why lots of people take it seriously.

This isn't a place to discuss politics, but

http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=1067

FOX has the most obvious and ridiculous bias of any news media station in the US. Fact. Even though all news stations skew information in some way, FOX is the one with the most obvious agenda.

I’m very cognizant that this forum is for tennis and not a place for political discussion. Still if a poster is going to make a political reference which I find completely wrong I just can’t leave it unanswered. As to your posting; I am willing to concede Fox News presents a conservative bias. I maintain that is the reason it is successful because all of its competitors have a liberal bias. Now if you believe Fox News competitors are balanced enough to give a conservative viewpoint a fair hearing well I suspect I cannot persuade you otherwise. You might though consider reading Bernie Goldberg’s book “Bias” which details chapter and verse the liberal bias clearly evident in the main stream media.

Again as a final point, I recognize this is a tennis forum and I shall refrain from further postings in this thread. If one wishes a political debate I’m happy to oblige in a PM dialogue.

I don't watch either but it's obvious that it was a joke. Women have been actively playing those sports for over 100 years. So long in fact that it even precludes it being a joke in poor taste. Anyone who took it as a serious comment may want to really take some time to check themselves.

True. Nowadays people seem to feel left out if they are not offended by something. It's rarely, "I disagree with you". It's "I'm offended". GTFOH. If people are that easily offended perhaps they need to withdraw from the world.

Well, I was offended by the quality of the supposed humor. I mean that sounded like a line Rodney Dangerfield dropped from his act in, as I said, circa 1974.

Although in fairness to Rodney, his delivery would have been like a million times better.

It was an harmless remark. However I have a really problem with the bias on that and many other Fox shows, it's shameless.

They will take a story, frame it in an anti-Democrat light, then take it in turns to lay into the Democrat position.
