I only picked these because they were pretty much what I grew up with. I remember listening to tapes of these on a cassette player, singing along and rewinding.

The Bodyguard is certainly a favourite too but it's her earliest works that I continually listened to when I was young.

Well it's practically a tie between her debut "Whitney Houston" or MLIYL for me. I still listen to "Whitney Houston" all the time in the car when I'm driving around. I wasn't born when it was released of course, so when I say "still", it's not quite the same as someone who has been a fan from the beginning.

In no particular order, and somewhat off the top of my head...

Depeche Mode: Black Celebration
Depeche Mode: Violator
Depeche Mode: Music for the Masses
Slowdive: Just for a Day
Slowdive: Souvlaki
Pale Saints: The Comforts of Madness
Human League: Dare
Thompson Twins: Into The Gap
a-ha: Hunting High And Low

(But I'm not really that much of an album person: my concentration is simply not so good... And these days with Spotify etc, it's so easy to move from one song to the other without the cohesive 'whole' of the album...)

(But I can wholly recommend the above albums ;) )
