Nigina :)
I don't know why she hasn't done better on grass and in juniors. I know a few years ago she beat Elina Svitolina but since then nothing
She has a mega serve and forehand so she really would have a shot at at least a QF if she got her game together

Also Naiktha
I can't believe she lost to an Egyptian on Grass
Maybe Cairo would be beneficial

Another TOUGH slam draw. The weakest section is arguably Kulichkova's but still some really good players in there.

Jun 29th, 2012, 06:44 PM
Tough draw for Ilka :[
Belinda vs Indy again in R2  Donna is in the same section
Toni has a shot to make the QF, I guess her game is more suited to grass than Kulichkova's.
Anett vs Sachia should be interesting.

And I can finally see what is Ana Konjuh capable of in a GS. She's lucky with the draw, I guess she's able to beat Korashvilli, Gonzalez or Danilina.

Will any of these matches be streamed???

Many players don't necessarily have ridiculously hard sections, they're just awkward
Like Toni Lottner's, Anett's, Elina's and Ana's. It will be interesting to see who we have in the QF as there could be so many different outcomes

I did, I'm not retarded, you know. But it's still not funny. The sarcasm doesn't work when you're not right.
Unlike Yakimova, the 2 girls actually have a chance to go deep with a bit of luck. Winning is too hard a task, but not impossible. The Rosol beating Nadal kind of impossible. You never know. Yakimova winning even one match at US Open is the me beating Nadal kind of impossible :oh:

Who does? :oh: I've defended him once or twice when some other guys bashed him, but not anymore. He's given me bad rep two months ago when I adviced him to not be disrespectful, and now it happened again. I like how he seems kinda' nice when talking about a given topic on the forum and, on the other hand, how he make jokes on players he doesn't like or give bad rep when you argue against his point.

Donna is facing Ioana Rosca next round and then Belinda\Indy. I love all the four girls, it'll be tough for me :hysteric:

And often it isn't personal, I just don't like the point people make. I give many bad reps, even to people I like
I also give many good reps, and if you followed the same players I did, you would often get them
E.g. I have given Kworb 5 good reps and 2 bad reps

A few of the R2 matches will be played today, so some of the girls have to play two matches :tape:
At least all the girls that have to play both matches today will play the second round against someone who played yesterday, and not on Saturday. Well, Ana Konjuh vs Korashvilii or Harrison is an exception, but those 2 have almost finished their match yesterday. This way the girls who qualified on Saturday will play tomorrow against the girls who qualified yesterday, so all of them will be fresh. It's a smart scheduling imo.

If I didn't like her personality and game so much, I wouldn't like Anett. Especially as after having 3-2 40-0 she fell behind 4-5 0-40
Bust she just won the first set in a tiebreak after leading 6-3 she won 8-6 (the scoreboard messed up and made it look like 7-6 Vickery )
Her tiebreak record is now 9-3 in seniors (2 of the losses came in doubles)

Taylor from a NYT interview:

Townsend blamed herself for her upset defeat.

“I gave it to her, honestly,” she said. “She came up with some good shots and good serves at big times, but I was really rushing; throughout the whole match I was trying to hit too good of a shot, when I didn’t need to. And I was trying to paint the lines.”

She gave her the match? Really? I don't she GAVE Abanda anything.

She led by a break the whole set and missed an opportunity at 5*-4 30-30, then missed 4 BP Opportunities at 5-5, then saved 3 SPs at 5-6 0-40 and got it to a tiebreak. then lost it 7-3 with a Double Fault

The Scoreboard is gone now but I remember W/UE was 33/12
Anett didn't play too badly with 20/21 stats but IMO if she hadn't had 1/9 BPs and had played better on 30-30 and Deuce points she would have won :)
I can't believe she came back from 5-6 0-40 and then lost the tiebreak
But I am 100% sure that if Bouchard played like she did today, she will win the title :)

GSM Svitolina :)
I expected the opposite final :)
I am so shocked she made it this far given she is crap on grass but I really like her so well done :)

RG 2012 was absolutely the same. Beck (born in February, 1994) beat Schmiedlova (born September, 1994)

The same is here. (but hope September girl will be stronger this time)

And Pliskova won Juniors Wimbledon at the age of 18 :)

Genie :)
Anett

Genie's stats are scary :speakles: I hope she takes the trophy, but I have a feeling Elina would win
However, it's a shame that two '94 girls are playing the final :(
How is this a shame? lol They are allowed to play, would be embarassing if they would all lose to younger players.

Genie also in the double SF :)

Abanda just won her QF in double with Vickery so they'll play Genie now in SF I think.

I meant they should focus on their pro ranking and leave the juniors much earlier
Winning a junior GS at 18 is not really relevant im my opinion.

Anett and Indy just lost to Daria and Elina, 8-10 in the super-tiebreak.

Anett losing two close matches today :sobbing:

So it will be the two "oldies" in the final
But seriously, what are these two doing in juniors anyway, Svitolina already won a slam ages ago and Bouchard should rather concentrate on breaking top 100 (200) not play juniors. Well, yeah I get it, she wants that slam so bad and has worked hard for it (numerous slam semis) so hopefully her dream comes true on Sunday.

muusa, I could say about Elina: She is stil 17. So she has a limit of professional tournaments she can participate in. 5 till middle of September. She needs a competative practice! But what about Bouchard or Gavrilova (or Beck at RG) - I honestly don't know, All of them are 18 already. Maybe Bouchard want to win a Slam....But Gavrilova???? I have no idea
