Rebekah Revels (L), representing the United States at the Miss World (news - web sites) 2002 pageant in Nigeria, is photographed with Miss Vietnam, Mai Phuong Phan Thi, at breakfast November 13, 2002 in the pageant hotel in Abuja. More than 80 contestants arrived in Nigeria after the government managed to avert a mass boycott of the event over death sentences passed on Nigerian Muslim women convicted of adultery. The government gave assurances that no one would be stoned to death for adultery as prescribed by Islamic sharia law. Vietnam is taking part in the 52-year-old pageant for the first time.

Miss Venezuela and Miss Mexico are cute (though Miss Mexico should be stoned for that corset, or whatever it is. I don't mind cleavage, but that thing makes it look baaaaad), but there are no stunning beauties. At least not here. Actually, I don't think there have been any for a couple of years now.

Wonder what Miss Croatia looks like. We had beautifull girls (Anica Martinovic, Fanny Capalia - hoooooot), but the last few years they're plain as well.. :\
lol Maybe it's just me...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that is not the real miss Belgium, I think. Miss Belgium, Ann Van Elsen, did not want to go to the contest in protest against the sentencing of several people to death by stoning, so our country decided to send the runner-up instead.
