the draw will be made much weaker when the players still in singles/doubles/mixed at the french are forced to pull out. plus the injuries and usual tiredness from a long clay season.

anyway i'm going most of the week for it including qualies, so will do some reports in challenger tournament as usual.

I don't understand why anyone who is on the bubble for qualifying for the Olympics wouldn't enter here.
Where are Lepchenko and Wozniak for example?

Grass goats here. Expect McHale to stay in Paris longer.
Also, I at their best Lucic and Tanasugarn are class ahead on grass(compared to the rest of field).

This event used to be held in Beckenham years ago, five streets away from where I lived at the time.

Really? Clay is definitely Xtina's weakest surface, and I don't think she will be seeded. I don't know why but I am expecting a tough draw too.

Anyway, fun group of players, some really good on grass. Will this be televised at all?

It's highly unlikely. In Nassau most players from the entry list advanced to 2R of Indian Wells so they were not able to compete in Nassau. Here they would have to reach R4 of Roland Garros.

no they only have to be in the 3rd round of singles or in the doubles or mixed doubles still. the likes of king ect wont play notts.

i expect 6 to 10 withdrawals from MD list, it happens every year.

Friday 6PM is the sign in dead line,
so some may be unfinished with their 3R.

I was wondering no one will WD from GS singles to enter Nottingham
but can they WD from doubles?
I mean is there a punishment or something?

Of course if one needs to WD,
they'll make up a fake injury or something but
can they just say "I'll WD because I have next tournament".

I kinda feel wrong to do it but practically they might need to do it.... (you know, it's Olympics)
Easiest way is just enter the singles and not doubles at FO.
