AYUMI-GOAT May 20th, 2012, 11:53 AM I thought she retired from singles? In The Zone May 20th, 2012, 11:55 AM No reason why Mirza should be giving up on singles. All mental. Wozzilroy May 20th, 2012, 12:56 PM Sania is one of the players I really wanted to get to see in life, in singles. I hope, someday I still get to. Xepher May 20th, 2012, 12:57 PM No reason why Mirza should be giving up on singles. All mental. This. She has solid ground game to stay top 70 chingching May 20th, 2012, 12:59 PM Comm Games revenge wally1 May 20th, 2012, 07:17 PM I was at this match - I like Mirza, so have seen quite a few of her matches over the years, and the first set was amongst the best I've ever seen her play. She was hitting winners all over the place with not a lot of errors, the clay giving her lots of time to set up her forehand which was doing all sorts of damage. The final two sets were far more up and down, pretty poor and nervy from both. Rodionova took an injury time out after a couple of games of the second set, and gave her usual running commentary throughout - complaining about the ball kids, Mirza's shots hitting the lines, bad bounces etc. I'm pretty sure that after one of Mirza's winners she said to her coach "she never played like this in the doubles"! donellcarey May 20th, 2012, 07:18 PM Great match, Sania, keep it up. saniapower May 20th, 2012, 07:29 PM I was at this match - I like Mirza, so have seen quite a few of her matches over the years, and the first set was amongst the best I've ever seen her play. Dan_Doe May 20th, 2012, 09:44 PM Wow, Sania, good for you :) CetkovskaBrazil May 20th, 2012, 11:14 PM Congrats. Glad to hear that Sania played well. She has the game to be top 20 easily if she's motivated--and healthy. Too many injuries have set her back at inopportune times, but when she's playing well, she is a damn fine player, far better than she gets credit for being. You can count the number of players who can return better on one hand. mirzafanindia May 21st, 2012, 04:20 AM I was at this match - I like Mirza, so have seen quite a few of her matches over the years, and the first set was amongst the best I've ever seen her play.
