with NaNa's win today, it is confirmed that our Princess Karolina falls to the #9 SEED for RG

actually this is quite sad for her to go from being #1 for the Austrlian Open to #9 for Roland Garros :sobbing:

but we must BELIEVE as we all remember what happened the last time our Princess Karolina was seeded #9 at a slam ... at the 2009 USO she was #9 and blazed her way to the final :inlove:

I think the same thing will happen in RG 2012 :ignore:

Na Mug its a bit of a pointless thread, last year she had her backside handed to her by dani and she cannot play on clay, its a stupid thread... US open is her fav surface as well, this is just pointless spam!

Wickmayer and Oudin aren't around to help her do that anymore.

How can you drop from #1 to #9 in five months? Brutal.

Still some decent results with Brussel, New Haven and SFs in Miami and US Open.

Luckily Oudin has a wildcard and Wickmayer is back from her back injury or the whole plan would fall apart. Zvonareva can play the role of Dementieva to Oudin. God knows she plays awful enough to pull off a loss to Oudin. :hysteric:

cowoz mayb can reach RG 2012 final if...

1. all top 8 players injury
2. all top 8 player retire
3. she draws against oudin, wickmayer

It has been actually a bit less than 4 months. From Jan 30th to May 21st. :(

I think this is the 'best' fall from top in WTA history...

And still I'm not sure if Caroline is able to stop this :tape:

Wozniacki got to number one by winning a lot of events but she was NEVER a dominant number one because of her FAILURE to win grand slams. It is pathetic that SOME Wozniacki fans don't acknowledge that Caroline's inability to WIN grand slams hurt her. The media criticism definitely destroyed Caroline's confidence she constantly had to defend herself because she wasn't GOOD ENOUGH to win a major. Caroline might win a grand slam one day because shes only twenty one. However, I feel number nine is the right ranking for Caroline she's not one of the best.

Time for Woz to prove her worth as a champion. Imagine scenario where - she faces Vika in round of 16, Serena in QF, Kvitova in SF, and Sharapova in finals... she will win the French Open but will not make it to top 5.

Stop right there. Cannot happen. #9 plays #5-8 in R16.

 caroline has fallen down the rankings soo quickly this year without having completely terrible results. although she doesn't to deserve to be anywhere near #1 anymore.

it is because all of her big results from 2011 are from before Roland Garros :tape:

ex. 2011 AO SF > 2012 AO QF
2011 Dubai Title > 2012 Dubai QF or SF
2011 Charleston W > 2012 Charleston Not Play
2011 Copahagen W > 2012 Copahagen F
2011 Rome SF > 2012 Rome 1R
2011 Brussels W > 2012 Brussels Not Play

Now she's #9 seed and only holding New Haven.

You are copy-pasting the same comment to about Caroline to every thread, arent you?
And, even if you write something in CAPS it does not make it less of a BS comment. All the criticism from the media did not mean anything to her and she enjoyed her time at the top. She was the best in the world, live with it:kiss:

cant see it happening. sf is a huge ask, qf sounds fair, 4th round is closer to what o expect.

and it is with no relevance whom she meets. by 4th round in a slam, youre either meeting a good player, a player in good form, or a fairytale run, all of which can take out anyone, moreso woz, who isnt exactly a clay master.

I wonder if Caro figures out that her loopy forehand gives Julia all the time in the world to unleash her shots and finally does something about to change this match-up.

Well this is clay -- Wozniacki isn't going to hit through it successfully already she has so much problems doing it consistently on faster surfaces so I think this would be a wrong strategy and Caroline doesn't have the striking force to rush Julia on that kind of clay.

Julia feels extremely confident when she plays her and Caro just doesn't like her game at all, it's just so.

Imagining Caroline played super aggressive like against Kerber in Stuttgart, the slower conditions in RG will really not be in her favor and it will be a total pain in the arse.

Julia moonballs + big forehand combo should have Caroline capitulate as usual. Wozniacki hates moonballs and she hates them even more when a player can unleash from her weak replies off them --
