this the their first meeting since Serena's comeback :awww:

their last meetings in 2010 Serena came away with the close victories in Australian Open SF and Wimbledon QF :oh:

Serena is the favorite if her serve is working but Na is in good form :armed:

Why would Tankrena show up in the SF? She smells blood, I'm sure she wants the title. Should be an interesting match. Serena could win in two or three. Petrova has prepared her for this match-up.

You obviously have lived in a hole for the last 6 years, because Na often rises to the occasion. She very rarely gets steamrolled by top players

Na has never truly imploded against Serena. She loses the tight, important points but her groundstrokes always come together against Serena.

Most of the time she drags Serena in the rallies too but Serena's serve bridges the gap.

This tournament has really totally lost my interest, sad and it's Rome but Serena losing can not be missed. One would've thought Il Rinascimento had brought much better changes than we're going to see in this SF, yet to believe it will revolve around this and them.

We had once reached to Machiavel, Petrarque, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael [...] -- left the darkness of Gothic architecture for symmetry, proportions, order, class, elegance in the renaissance and here we are back now reached to the brutality of Serena's tennis and Li in the cradle of occidental civilization. It will need more than 5 'colossal ordered' Corinthian columns to support the pains and sufferings of Michel-Angelo crying in St. Peter's Basilica for an end to all this. O, Rome, what has happened to you ?

Talk. Do we all have now to carry our Toga, pay our tickets for these ridiculous representations on the proscenaenium of anything but most one-dimensional in the Colosseum, enjoying them destroying the works of our eternal city ? Pallas Athena, is this art to you, you, protector of science, arts and wisdom ? Why let this happen ?

The ideal scenario would be for Li to drag Serena into a 3 hours plus match marathon and Serena with her age would get fatigued, wouldn't recuperate much from that in the up-coming week and get knocked out early in RG.

The only thing I want is Serena to lose, whether it be Li or anybody just lose. Li 7-6(10) 6-7(5) 7-5 in 4 hours 17 minutes.
