My best friend in high school was a dude named Joe Zunk (real name, I shit you not) Joe and I were in almost every every class together all four years of high school and sat together in class and at lunch too, as friends do. We were both pretty geeky too, you know, in all of the smart classes, wrote for the newspaper, blah blah.

At my high school graduation rehearsal, I was sitting about two rows up from these assholes when Joe drove up with his girlfriend. I overheard one of the assholes ask one of his buds "Who's the hot chick with Joe?"

The other one answered, "That's his girlfriend."

asshole shoots back, "I thought Car Key Boi was his girlfriend."

They all laughed, then one of them suddenly realized I was sitting within earshot, so they clammed up, stifling giggles the whole way through the rehearsal.

My memory of this event is mitigated by the fact that I ran into the asshole who said that about ten years later. He was running the register at Circuit City.

I'm sure that was pretty mild in comparision to some of yuor High School dramas. If so, I'd love to hear them.

Hmm, well, I was never ridiculed in high school! I had enemies though, I just remember in 11th grade, this jackass was bothering me, talking crap about my family and sexually harassing me and some of my friends.

I REALLY hated middle school. All my friends turned on me... well 3, and spread rumors about me.

When I was in highschool, I never really fit in with one group.

The fact that I had my own opinions, was not a brainless android, had no problem telling anybody (no matter how important they apparently were) when I didn't like something they were doing, and that I didn't grow up with a rich version of the brady bunch - all led to me not quite fitting in with the brainless gap crew.

Though they rarely ridiculed me directly, as they saw I could come in handy when they needed an extra member for a group project and such - their mere existence and the manner with which they looked down their noses are everybody else was more than enough to make them the bane of my existence.

I had a crush on one of them in grade nine (before I realized that they sucked), and was never able to live this down. Even in grade 11 and 12 I STILL heard comments about how I was the girl that apparently stalked their freind. Because you know, talking to someone outside of "your group" constitutes as stalking now.

Morons.

Anyhow. I can sit pretty knowing that even if I go home next semester I'm still far more successfuly than 90% of them will ever be - at last check one of them was still living at home working a lame job, and has the clap. Another one (who once said that everyone could go to his party, except me) was kicked out of his program for stealing from other students. Yet another couple have left school and were last heard on their parents couches.

I really should connect with these people again and ask how it feels to be such a winner.

I've always wanted to know

well from about the age of 13(i'm 17 now) i've had loads of people calling me 'gay' and 'poof' in school its died down in the last few years as people have realised that i am actually straight!

It has dented my confidence and i find it hard being in public sometimes!

Having to deal with other peoples ignorance and stupidity is unfortunate.

However you can sleep well knowing that you only have to endure being picked on for so long, and they are going to be stupid and ignorant forever :)

Why do you lack confidence just because some fucktards call you gay?

You should never concern yuorself with what other people think about yuo. The exception, is if they are people who yuo care about and who are special to yuo. Everyone else can go to hell.

That is all

In years 11-12 my friends used to ridicule me! they thought it was funnt but it was pretty sick :(. You see i used to be the social sciences 'freak' at my school doing as many as i can (economics, geography and legal studies) and topping the class in all...i was very close witht he teacher who taughtall 3 subjects...she was rotuand and old! people started rumours about her and i ! bad sicko rumours...;)

but there was lots of BIAS towards me so i dont care what they said./..i NEVER got in trouble from her even if i was a wanker :)...if she asked where my homework was i used to say 'tommorow' and id get a slap on the wrist, others got detentions and told off bad forinstance :p
