When Peer first joined the tour, she was advtertised as this mentally tough cookie because she had served in the IDF.
Well, were misled

May 16th, 2012, 08:38 PM
That was easy :cheer:. Peer not the player she used to be. Now take out Cibulkova in 2.

peer is like the worst advert for women's tennis ever. no flare, zero weapons, face that needs a slap. just everything women's tennis doesn't need.

vika felt about as much threat as she does against aga

Shahar that was just a disgrace. The only times in which she was actaully challenging Azarenka were when she was trying to take the ball on and coming forward. Terrible display of passive-defensive tennis and wrong tactics against the world number one.
No wonder she was mentally fragile too - she probably felt like she could do nothing to hurt Vika.
Please fire this Solomon along with the stupid hitting partner.

WD Vika.

I feel a bit sorry for Shahar. She looks a bit out-of-shape too.

Lost some focus during the beginning of the second set where she started to make more errors... Some of her errors during the 2nd set were avoidable but Peer went on the court to get slaughtered : you could see that with her body language...

Good job, Vika. :cheer:

Shahar

Normal match from Victoria -- plenty of UE's from the forehand side and hard to tell where she's really at with her serve considering she was pretty serving (%). Lowest DF count in a match for the year I think (?) only 2. :oh:

At 0*-0 30-0 Victoria broke Venus' first serve speed record by serving a 231km/h serve immediately broken by Shahar Peer at 0*-1 15-0 or 15-15 (can't remember) with a 233km/h first serve. Nice to see women replicate to the Groth who had broke the ATP record some week(s) ago.

Good start Vika

NID. Victoria did just enough. Shahar is just useless.

By the way, I guess I was the only one who noticed Victoria went back to her old service motion?
