There are only two teenagers in the Top 100 (Timea Babos and Sloane Stephens).

Which is the most promising teenager outside the Top 100?

Yulia Putintseva? (born in 1995 and just won Cagnes-Sur-Mer)

Paula Ormaecheva? (born in 1992 and already # 1 in Argentina)

Garbine Muguruza Blanco (born in 1993 and had some really good results this year already)

Caroline Garcia (born in 1993, top-junior who almost beat Sharapova in Roland Garros last year)

Laura Robson (born in 1994, won Wimbledon jun. 4 years ago with 14 years)

Michelle Larcher de Brito (born in 1993 - still a junior - although almost a fallen star) ;)

Kristina Mladenovic (born in 1993 and 200 km/h serve at Roland Garros 2 years ago)

Annika Beck (born in 1994 and next big German thing??)

I was actually surprised the Larcher de Brito is still so young. She seems to be there (and struggeling) forever. But maybe there is still some hope! I really like her game - when it's on...

Most recently Babos' and Blanco's results were most impressive. Putintseva is by far the youngest but her game doesn't look that overwhelming to me...

Not sure. But I think it's safe to say the days of the Teen Queen are over.

I haven't seen all of these play (but most)...

1993: Babos, Stephens, Mladenovic, Garcia, Muguruza Blanco
1994: Robson, Svitolina, Beck
1995: Putintseva, Kontaveit, Khromacheva, Keys, Witthoeft
1996: Barty, Vekic, Townsend
1997: Bencic, Kudermetova, Bains, Abanda

If I were to pick one it would be Putintseva just based on how quickly she's rising now. I didn't expect her to improve so rapidly.

It's really a crapshoot at this point. You never know how these teens are going to turn out when they get out of juniors, it's not like the days of Martina Hingis or the WIlliams sisters.

Belinda Bencic is a predestinate

I forgot about her. If she can get more agressive and improve her horrible serve, she could be legendary

I'd say the only two girls from the list which I'm totally sure will be top players someday are Muguruza Blanco and Annika Beck, considering their maturity and consistence.
Putintseva is a big question for me. I'd say she can be great, but also can stuck outside the top 50.
I don't see Stephens, Mladenovic and Babos going too far in their careers.
Garcia and Robson can be awesome someday, but they'll probably got stuck where they are now.

There are a few others, like Svitolina, Khromacheva, Kontaveit, Townsend, Keys, Min, Vekic, Barty, which were already mentioned. Also, I'd add Allie Kiick.
I have two bets from the '97: Belinda Bencic, who's already familiar to many, and Ana Konjuh, who's not so known. I'm sure they'll have a bright future.

No one mentioned Indy de Vroome yet :tape:
Indy has potential, she's still young but I think she will do well in a couple of years.
She's with IMG  =wildcards

I would've been the first to mention Indy, but she's been in such a bad form lately:tape: I've expected her to be so much better by this time

Isn't Kudermatova supposed to be good?

Anyway, the physical demands have changed so much in the past few years that I feel as though the chances of a teen breaking through to the big time like Sharapova and Vaidisova are very, very slim. It's no coincidence that the last phenom who was winning matches on the tour at 14/15 was MLDB almost 4/5 years ago now.
