lol, i bought the 8 CD's as well!

(not that im gonna listen to them, i bought them for my yet to be conceived kids :o )

Why don't you just read the books? ;)

LoTR and that goes for both media but especially for movies. I love the Harry Potter books, but the movies were a bit of a disappointment. Wrong choice of director imo. At least casting was superb!

LOTR had me wanting to get to the end soo bad! I mean, it was boring! And, I cant beleieve the next one will be good. Its like watching a movie without a beginning or end! BOOORING!

HP? Anyone could follow that easy story line. Also boring, and I was surprised at how much the end sucked! But it was more entertaining than LOTR.

YAY! Finally someone who agrees with me! I also wanted it to end so badly but i actually fell asleep at some point.

As for HP, i'm a fan, i can't wait to see the second movie and read the 5th book. And i'm not 5 years old either! :p

Dahveed, I agree as well! LoTR was as boring as hell!
Good guys going on a journey, meeting bad guys, defeating bad guys, continuing their journey, meeting more bad monsters, defeating said monsters, continuing their journey, meeting another set of monsters, defeating them,...

Harry Potter is cute, entertaining and funny. Long Live HP!

Where is the option 'both'??

People are always trying to compare HP and LotR, but IMO they cannot be compared. They are targetted at different audiences and the style is very different.

But if I have to choose: the child in me says HP
