Cute!

I'm always so torn about buying stuff online, because I really do want to try things on. Ugh.

Jil Sander is about to have a sample sale here in NY. I can't wait!! A few years ago, I went and bought these boots for $75.

You can see the boots here:
http://www.porhomme.com/2009/01/2009-spring-summer-footwear-jil-sander/

They're the blue suede ones at the bottom right.

Same goes for me, i prefer seeing how it fits. We can add store-bought clothes as well as long as people find an online link to them.
Never heard of the Asos store before, i'll definitely try it. :)

In college my big faux-pas was drunk online shopping. Forget the drunk dial. One night I was wasted and ended up buying $1200 worth of clothing and shoes from Lacoste, Burberry, & Uggs (I KNOW RIGHT). The funniest part was I totally had forgotten I had bought them and when the packages came I assumed they were for my roommate. It was like a mini (albeit expensive) Christmas. ;)

I just bought a couple sweaters, although I have very similar items already in my closet haha

I like this one, good tailored model. Problem with this one probably will be that it can look really good on some people but will look terrible on others. I don't have the mickey mouse waistline for that.

I literally have the same sweater already in 3 different combos. It's not so unflattering, it has a good structure on the bottom seam which sort of keeps the tailored look. Nothing irks me more than sweaters that lose their shape half way through the day.

OMG I love this. I love Burberry Prorsum in general. I once bought a plain black t-shirt from BP, and I love it because it had this thick stripe of gold thread on the shoulders. It was way too much to spend on a t-shirt, but ugh it was glorious.

Although this one isn't my style, my bffl would die over this , so am thinking of snatching this up before i go visit him in NYC in a couple weeks.

So I figure If I'm going to make moves for him, I should up the ante and make some for me too.

Loving this, I can see myself living in this for the summer nights this year. It's perfect for it. I'm not so sure about this last one, but I am always on the hunt for new cuts in cardigans since I practically live in them.

I'm loving the paul smith though!

Over 200 sweaters to choose from, I am gagging right now . I live for cardigans. The Paul Smith one is actually a more exaggerated version of my favorite cardigan that I lost in January. Left it at someone's house , and it's too awkward for me to get it back.

I lived in it though, so I've been dying without it for too long.

For the Burberry Porsum stuff, I love those Purple Cowl necks, but they are far too graphic for my personal style. That grey coat is AMAZE. The wooden badge stuff I don't really get, but I dress like I'm going to be standing on a yacht for the next 5 weeks usually haha

For the Burberry Porsum stuff, I love those Purple Cowl necks, but they are far too graphic for my personal style. That grey coat is AMAZE. The wooden badge stuff I don't really get, but I dress like I'm going to be standing on a yacht for the next 5 weeks usually haha

 cardigans are my life also i have so many from asos :D

You will have to come to london for that, and we will sort you out!

Most of my girlfriends doing menswear usually sell/giveaway their collections (before they are made, so they can make it according to the size as they don't go on models for semester shows). Most of their clothes are freaking amazing. I recently got this amazing dark blue turtleneck from a friend in Saint Martins and now its my new favourite piece of clothing :bounce:

Well I'm actually planning on relocating there after I complete my degree so I'll hold you to that! HAHA.

I live a nightmare, I have an obsession with leather jackets and every time I buy one I need to spend a fortune  Why couldn't I obsess with socks instead?

In general I obsess with outerwear so much!

OMG me, too!

Every month I always feel like I need a new jacket. Even when it's the middle of summer. Right now, I'm craving for something linen.

My latest purchase online was from a site named BuyVIP, it's from Spain. I bought it online to send all the items to my friends in Spain and they carry them back to China (cuz in Ecuador there's no online shopping sites, not that I've known of:o). But now I've learnt that some of those sites (like Mr.Potter and ASOS) can ship to any country so next time I'll give it a shot

Anyway those were my latest purchases:

Ok, not very fashionable, but I purchased something very similar to this of the Swandri NZ website.

I buy it not because it's a peice from 5th avenue, but for the mere fact this will last me 15-20 years if kept well + as I work the farm within high country, it keeps good from the rough conditions.

haha, you stick out like a sore thumb if you wear them, especially in town, My other one didn't look good with jeans, just moleskins and gummies

Most townies if they see someone in this automatically assume your from the country, which I would say is kinda true, you get Swandri from Agricultural suppliers, CRT, PGG Wrightson, RD1.

Though they are branching out Internationally, over the world people are turning to Swandri because of the fiber they are made of (Merino wool) and that these clothes last and last.

I only like boot cut jeans that are snug around the thigh area but comfortable around the legs.

Skinny jeans make every guy look effeminate and if it is a very feminine guy who is wearing them then god help him :help: :o Low rise skinny jeans with half your ass hanging out while your legs look like a twig is just a revolting look. The worst thing is when you can see the outline of a guys penis and balls as he walks in super skinny jeans. :scared:

I'll agree to that, personally for me, it is a revolting look. Slim fitting, if that's what your wanting to style, that is fine, skinny on men is nothing but blimmen disgusting! I really don't want to see what they had for breakfast while they are walking thank you very much!

They need a blimmen shooting! (sarcasm)

I have a worker in my olive grove turn up to work in Skinnies, and I said to him "you'll wanna go back home and change into something else, you're not wearing fucking denim out in the sun all day, this is work, not a fashion mall" Ever since then, he's turned up to work in a pair of trackies and an old tshirt, "the lights are on but no ones home" kind of kid, one of those city boys who wouldn't know the difference between a crescent and a socket wrench.

WOW some people have really strong opinions on jeans, I for one think skinny jeans look awesome. They are pretty popular in Australia especially among the more fashion contious men. I for one couldnt go back to a baggier style, not till I'm older anyway. I dont think they make you look feminine at all and think thats a pretty generalist call to be honest.

Maybe he just wanted to dress to impress the men in your grove.

The contract regarding clothing is pretty clear (for health and safety reasons), to which he signed, hence why I said for him to go home and put on what he is contracted to wear.

Otherwise he looked good, just not for the line of work he was employed to do heh.

It's a possibility, but doubt it, most of our production staff are women, mainly in there late 40's/50's and I don't employ many, as we are a small operation.

I was going to make a "thats where I found your mum" joke, but I've actually got a little story about the last time I went into a thrift store.

Over here, they are run by the Salvation Army/St. Vincent de Paul,

Anyway, as a uni student, I'd always have a little squizz through the racks on a Monday, as thats when the clothing bins got emptied.

In there minding my own business when I heard a rustle behind the clothes, I thought, well what the fuck was that!, I then endeavoured to pull back the clothes from the hanging rack, and in behind was this little Cambodian girl, taking a fucking shit on the floor!!

The dirty fucking bitch! I couldn't believe me blimmen eyes! right there in the middle of the rack, with her pants down her ankle, popping a squat and shitting! the dirty bloody mongroel! Got the women who manned the place, the mother came over and took her out and they closed the shop while they cleaned up the mess

Ever since that time, I'm very reluctant to go into shops such as this, apart from finding gems of clothing, who knows what else you may find!

Anyway, River Island is offering free worldwide delivery on orders over £100 (promo code: WORLDMAY100) and free for orders over £75 in UK & Ireland (promo: UKIEMAY75) for anyone who's interested, I think I remember seeing someone mention it in here.

I'd never buy clothes from a thrift store.

then don't

Yes,

but our op shops are usually linked to community funded organisations, so alot of what is made in them gets put back into the community.

I'm not to sure if the same works in the states.

not necessarily community- salvation army and goodwill have their respective charities, but they are so overpriced. I go to the mom and pop thrift store that carry amazing stuff for usually under $2.

I dont have the patience for op shopping but people do get incredible finds.

Yeah you have to have a lot of patience to scour the racks and you get kinda dizzy after a while. But yeah, there's a whole range of stuff you can get, but primarily you go to buy statement pieces or accessories.

There are very few accessible cheap thrift stores in the NYC area, because "vintage" and "thrifting" are obviously very trendy here. Having said that, I am so uncomfortable with the idea of wearing something that has gone through the change of time. I will however buy leather goods. A couple of years ago, I bought a leather portfolio at the Brooklyn flea market. This was before every man out there started carrying them so it was cheap* for $5. I carry it everywhere. I get wonderful compliments on it, and it really is the best $5 I've ever spent. I went back to the BK flea last year, and some dude (a vendor) offered to buy it from me for $50 so he can sell it for $100. In general I can't be bothered with the BK flea, but man there's some good food there!

*Again, maybe for some $5 on a flea market buy isn't considered cheap, but please remember where I'm at.

I like Superdry, but only their T-shirts/hoodies ; and I buy them usually at Bicester/Chester village where the prices are much more affordable (I bought it full-priced once and never do it again). Other products are really overpriced (thanks for some celebrities endorsing the brand so that the owners can legitimately raise their prices)and there are loads of alternatives elsewhere. I am not familiar with fashion industry at all, but I think its gibberish Japanese characters really attracts the masses of people because it looks exotic and stylish. I cannot recall another UK brand which has similar line of products. But then of course different people would have difference preferences - some people absolutely loathe having wonky characters/blatant product placement on their t-shirt. The whole brand is kinda cultish if you ask me

the quality of their t-shirts/hoodies is actually not bad, I have quite a few of them and the prints are all intact and the colour doesn't fade after numerous washes.

I might have used the wrong word but what I mean "endorse" here is that they buy the product and wear it in public. And apparently there were many celeb did so.
But now the problem arises with superdry is that the profit margin is waning this year. I really think the gimmick (gibberish Japanese characters) doesn't last too long and people are already get bored with it and have already jumped ship.

Is that possible to have a fusion of American and Japanese style?
