I have no idea whether this rumour is true or not. Did the rumours start in BILD? I wouldn't particularly trust BILD news judging from what I have read about them. They seem to be a bit of a gossip style paper. But I do know that eventing is the horse riding (equestrian) competition. 3 day eventing- dressage, cross-country, show jumping.

It's not an issue for most of the human race anymore. But I can understand Lisicki's fear that it may be an issue for sponsors.

I would get it with other sports maybe but tennis? Some of the sports most successful and iconic players are in the same boat...I really don't see how anybody could take offense.

Yes, it may be a shitrag of a paper, but it is a story out in the public domain & out there, before I raised the question on here, a public forum. I am aware of the old rumours and this new rumour. In fact I've read plenty of gossip on the internet about the old rumour and never found it to be proof but it was compelling, but with this BILD article now I am confused about what is the truth.

I even told the gossipers to be careful about their gossip thread because the rumours were spreading to a broader group of fans and people on Bine's facebook were even calling her out on them, and now with the new rumour as well. We imagine how Sabine would be feeling to read that when she wants to keep it private, as is her right?

Whatever the truth is I just hope that these rumours (new and old) don't distract Sabine too much from her tennis.

Well in regard to the old rumors not getting more media attention, that kind of shows that there's a slight little bit of decency left in the media. Speculating about her having a boyfriend is one thing, speculation of that other kind can cause serious damage and apparently not even BILD is willing to go that low.... maybe that's a shred of hope for the human race.

You can be sure that these rumors have made their way to those journalists as well, the fact that they don't pick up on it shows me that this is one of the few things where even tabloids are not willing to go.

I never thought a simple question about a story I heard about then saw in a newspaper could arouse such emotion! I wonder why? Perhaps it's the unpalatable truth for some that Sabs may not be what they thought - or wanted - her to be. Doesn't fit the image they have made for her, which is perhaps in fact their own image.

Sounds like you have some serious issues with accepting what might be true. Again, this tabloid article is worth nothing, all it says is that they sat together at a hockey game. By that logic I've been with hundreds of girls (and guys) every time I attend a football match.

We don't know what the deal is, has it ever crossed your mind that they are just friends? You know, that's possible between a man and a woman, especially if...you know. But it's more likely that they're even less and only briefly know each other... there's no evidence suggesting anything else.

It's pretty sad that a few people have such issues with accepting what may be her choices and if I look at it, it may be better if we never learn the truth because I'm rather worried what would happen then.
