After 1 quarterfinal and two finals in 10.000$ this year (already one QF last year), Ysaline is ranked 745 this week :)

Member of tennisforum "TI-Phot" answered me about her: "Yes she's good, has a powerful game and makes a minimum of errors
At Le Havre, very convincing SF" Thanks to him for this and the pictures btw ;)

I wish her the best for her career :D

Super contente d'avoir reçu une Wild Card pour les qualifs du Brussel Open! :)

Dominique Monami interview on the official website:

You were talking about the wildcards. Two will go to two promising, Belgian players: Alison Van Uytvanck and Tammy Hendler. Than there is one for Ysaline Bonaventure in qualies. What about the other ones?

There is only 2 WC left and they are TOP20 WC btw ;)

I think she's injured btw (from a twitter picture), this maybe can explain that early lost in Q few weeks ago

Funny thing about the girl she beat to win her first 10.000 title, Julia Kimmelmann:

"I knew the girl because I played with her the team matches in Germany. On the other side, I've never trained with her. She estimated she was too strong to play with me. In the final, I wanted to prove she was wrong. "

I will admit I am not the biggest fan of Ysaline's game however I am so impressed by her commitment to the game. She will go wherever she needs to go to to play.

In the last 12 months she has been to Japan, Morocco, Columbia, Mexico, China, Estonia, Hungary, France, Spain, Ukraine, Australia, Germany, Romania, Russia, Belgium, Azerbaijan, Sweden, Netherlands and is scheduled to play a $25k in Tunisia next week. That would be very expensive to commit to such a schedule.

I hope she can make top 250 soon then go from there.

That's what we call a journey woman:lol:

Jun 2nd, 2014, 06:08 AM
I'm not sure whether that's commitment to the game or just sitting on a huge pile of money :o

Jun 2nd, 2014, 03:14 PM
But where does she get the money from? Her prize money wouldn't cover that schedule. I wouldn't imagine she has huge sponsors.

Her parents maybe?
