Beat Duque Marino 61 62 :yeah:

Next up is Craybas

Well done, Nadia! Craybas should be no problem

I think clay really helps Nadia. We all know Nadia is not moving as quick as she used to in her peak time. On hard the ball comes back too fast, the clay gives Nadia way more time.

Such a close match against Craybas on clay :o At least Nadia won this mess of a match :)

Choking 5-1 in 2nd set away, having to save 2 MPs at 5-6 and then choking again at 6-3 in TB to 6-6 :cuckoo:

Good run up to now. Hercog defeated Bartoli so Nadia has to be very focused. She plays the nignt match. GL!
By the way that Berlin final :hearts:
Edit: I thought that was the 2006 final. That was better

I hope she can do well on clay this year. It is probably still her best surface and the best chance to do some real damage at this late stage of her career?

Waste a 3-0 lead in the third against Vinci :(. Better luck in Madrid Nadia.
She'll start against King who defeated her at the same event last year.

The exact score was 6-2 1-6 6-4. Nadia was leading 3-0 in 3rd set ? What a choke :o

Her problem was poor footwork/movement. Nadia needs to improve that, it used to be so much better :(

No problems in R1. Nadia defeated Hlavackova 6-3 6-3 ! :yeah:

R2 vs Serena. Head To Head 6-3 for Serena, but Nadia won the last 2 matches

rucolo
May 21st, 2012, 11:12 AM
Serena beat Nadia 4-6 6-2 6-3

But Nadia can be proud of this match. She played a strong first set, with excellent serving. No break point for Serena. Then in 2nd set Serena fought harder and moved better. Nadia became more and more neagtive. That is something Nadia must work on. The body language should always be positive.

Unbelievable. Nadia lost 3-6 2-6 to Pironkova :tape:

And I thought Nadia would easily reach the QF here. I forgot Nadia can lose to anyone anytime. Pathetic loss. Pironkova lost her first matches on clay this year in Stuttgart, Budapest, Madrid and Rome. And now she beats Nadia of course, and even worse without any problems. Nadia must have played absolute shit. I guess (once again) she didn`t move her feet and sprayed every return in the net or out, because she could not break Pironkova`s serve at all. Shocking scoreline. Nadia is such a big headcase. And her footwork/movement is so weak. Time to work hard and improve this. Or keep sucking.

Happy Nadia reached FO R3. Another good win for her :hearts::yeah:

Stosur next will be very tough. But Nadia can beat the world #6 if she plays her best tennis. The last 2 matches were dramatic, very close. Stosur won at US Open 2011 with 7-6 6-7 7-5. Nadia won their last meeting at Indian Wells 2012 with 6-1 6-7 7-6. I expect another big battle. Stosur is the favourite, all the pressure on her.

Nadia must move her feet, stay aggressive and attack Stosur`s backhand. And serve well ;)
