In Charleston, which is in the US.

3 weeks until Stuttgart. Hopefully Aga prepares well in that time and has better results in Rome and Madrid than last year.

Brussels is a pre-slam event, any player can withdraw at any time, so I think she'll play it only if she absolutely needs to have a couple more matches before Roland Garros. :)

Hope for a fun match and that Caro will give her friend a few games. :sobbing:
But if she'll play her 1000% she might take a set like she almost did in Indian Wells a few years back.

Zawodniczki te zyskały na wycofaniu w ostatnim momencie Any Ivanović, Mary Pierce, Michaelli Krajicek, Karin Knapp i Amelie Mauresmo.

Yes, but Bertens is 149 in WTA rank.
Ula will play in $100,000+H Cagnes-Sur-Mer, where the worst player in ranking is Lucic (107 in ranking), so no chance to win match :bigwave:

Agnieszka Radwanska
On being No.4 in the world...
"When I turned pro seven years ago I didn't expect I could do Top 4. I was already happy I could be Top 10 for a couple years. I haven't really changed anything - I practice with the same people at the same place, and I worked just as hard in the off-season as I usually do, on tennis and fitness and everything. But my performances this year have been great - I was a bit tired after playing a couple of tournaments in a row, but I've played good matches with top players."

On her style of play...
"It depends on who is on the other side of the net, but I try to mix it up, hit different shots, play mixed tennis. I never really practiced to play like that, I think I was just born with it. I watched a lot of Martina Hingis when I was younger and I've heard I play like her, which is very nice to hear. I actually still love watching tennis. I can spend the whole day practicing and after 12 hours on court still go back to the hotel and watch the night session on TV."

On the Polish connection she has with Wozniacki, Lisicki and Kerber...
"We're always joking, if we all played for Poland, how good Fed Cup would be for us! Unfortunately I'm the only one playing for Poland. Anyway, they're all very good friends of mine. And all of us speaking Polish is very important - you connect with people who speak your language. We can speak to each other in the locker room and nobody can understand us! We also played under 10s and under 12s all together and our families know each other, so we're all close."

On how she keeps her errors so low...
"The first tournament I won when I was a kid, my coach would just put the ball in the court, and the kid with the fewest mistakes won the tournament. I think I had just one mistake or something, so I won my first title and my first trophy there! I was six years old. I will always remember that."

Very nice win, Aga! :D:banana:

Head To Head now 3-2. Sweet revenge for the Wimbledon loss

Aga was an UE machine in 1st set, then improved her quality a lot in next 2 sets. The game in 3rd set at 3-1 with many deuces was the key. Aga won it - she is mentally so strong. Played some great tennis at important moments. And had to because Li is very dangerous on clay and showed some of her best tennis.

I really hate Aga - Azarenka matches. Azarenka always plays her best tennis and is super-motivated to win. Aga got killed the last 3 times they met. Zero chance to win. The problem is Aga clearly lacks power and her weak serve. Also I don`t understand why Aga so often hit the ball to Azarenka`s backhand - and not her forehand.

And now some insider info from German Eurosport commentator :secret:

He said yesterday morning (the day they played their SF) Aga and Vika were having breakfast at the same time in the players` hotel and they sat on tables exactly on opposite sides of the room. They really can`t stand each other anymore :tape:

Yes, the match was very one sided. It was competitive at the beginning and the end of the second set,but that's it. It's probably for the best though, losing this badly will push Agnieszka to improve more and more. Azarenka beat Sharapova this badly twice this year and Pova is actually showing nice improvements to her game. It's actually kind of funny how ridiculously Azarenka owns Martha, Agatha and Sam who themselves are excellent players. Hopefully they can turn their rivalries around at some point.

As far as their personal relationship looks like, who cares.

They weren't the only ones. Agnieszka breadsticked Azarenka and was up a break before running out of steam in Sydney SF, Li breadsticked her in Sydney F, Clijsters breadsticked her in AO SF and Bartoli obviously won. Cibulkova though was the only one to make Azarenka look totally useless, of course until she got tight and let Azarenka into the match.

Interesting

Maybe they can stand each other, but I think that not many players eat breakfest with the people they play against a couple of hours later. Look at Vika: she uses headphones, she wants to be alone. Breakfast with Aga wouldn't be something she wanted. And Aga obviously is tired of losing to her this year.

Aga will be a Top3 player next week!

Last year Madrid was played a week earlier. Petra won is, so she loses almost 1000 points on Monday. We can't say that Aga did nothing to be Number 3, but it can look like this if we take only this week into account  Good job Aga! :yeah:

I wish she had better slam results to back up that ranking. #3 almost exclusively on the back of tier one performances is not good.

Nor Aga nor Vika feel comfortably on such a surface. The big advantage however is on Azarenka side because sheer strength plays decisive role at Madrid courts.
It will be very hard challenge to break Vika's serve on such conditions. Still, "brainy" Aga has her chances to find some unexpected and effective tactics.
Sheer presence of Aga in SF on this surface proves how versatile she is

Aga suckzzz so much on red clay outdoors :help::help::help:

Pathetic loss to Cetkovska. And absolutely pathetic performance. Passive, no power and no serve. Head To Head against Cetkovska now 0-4. And that`s very embarrassing for #3 in the world. If you can`t beat a player like Cetkovska then you don`t deserve to be #3. That`s my opinion. Aga was lucky to not face Cetkovska (and several other players she can`t beat) so far this year. The "Aga only loses to Azarenka" saying posters need to shut up.

Aga looks so clueless on red clay outdoors. I predict Aga will bomb out early at French Open.

Ridiculous. In Rome clay is laid on soil, in Paris - on concrete. RG also has much lighter balls than Rome (at least it had a year ago). Vastly different conditions. Whatever happens in RG, it will not be related to Rome performance.

Oh I think she has some chances there. She won 3 matches in a row, won the title in doubles a week ago - it must have given her some self-confidence and Ula always plays better after runs like this. And Bartoli can't find her form on clay this year ( http://www.wtatennis.com/page/Player/Activity/0,,12781~1007,00.html ). I'd give Ula at least a set. But we'll see tomorrow on ES2 ;)
