Wild Cards:

Two reciprocal wild cards: Australian, French & US Open have arranged a 3-way reciprocal arrangement whereby they all allocate a [WC] to each other to use at their discretion. This means that all three of Tennis Australia (TA), Fédération Française de Tennis (FFT) and the United States Tennis Association (USTA) set aside two WCs for their home Grand Slam in order to acquire two WCs for their own use at these two other Grand Slams.
Six at discretion of FFT (for French players).

Qualifying
12 from 96 players (88 direct acceptances + 8 [WC]s) will qualify for MD after three elimination rounds.

Only three players can use their special rankings, therefore if all three listed attempt to enter they will not be granted entry. The lowest SR will have to miss out.

I think Alisa Kleybanova will not use SR. But that's just my guess ...

With Alisa Kleybanova (RUS - SR # 24), Agnes Szavay (HUN - SR # 44) & Timea Bacsinszky (SUI - SR # 47) there are three players eligible to use SR (Anna Chakvetadze is not listed because she used SR at Australian Open 2012 already).
As I am not aware of any rule that limits the number of players using their SR for direct acceptance to get into the same tournament, please be so kind and direct me to that rule.

I meant to say only two players are eligible to enter with SR rather than three, but I am actually wrong as I found no rule to substantiate what I said (which bothers me a little as now I'm wondering why I believed that in the first place lol).

That's better news anyway, I'd rather all three be able to use their SRs.

Papillon.

I've got an access to official WTA Playerzone ELs and this list is not correct.

The only way it isn't correct is if Dulgheru didn't withdraw and Lucic is two places out, or if there is another SR entry resulting in the same. Unless by incorrect you mean there are more withdrawals and Lucic is already in, but I don't understand why you wouldn't have already made that clear.

You probably confused special rankings with special exempts (which indeed are limited to 2 per tournament).

As every player is only eligible to use SR for one GS, it might be a tough decision for the players where to use it.

BRUSSELS -- Kim Clijsters will skip the French Open and clay-court season to focus on adapting to grass ahead of the London Olympics and Wimbledon.

The Belgian's recovery has been going more slowly than expected, after she tore a hip muscle last month during the Sony Ericsson Open in Florida. She will resume training in about three weeks.

Clijsters said Tuesday that "my current physical condition does not allow me to be ready for Roland Garros."

In her farewell season, Clijsters has focused on the Olympics. She will open her grass-court season at the Rosmalen tournament in the Netherlands starting June 17, one week before Wimbledon.

Silly decision from Veronica Royg then?

Not really considering she would be the lowest ranked DA in the qualifying draw. As top seed in Brescia, she will be looking to get to the final which will score her more points than a 2R exit and considerably more than a first round exit (probable). This can then lift her above the players ranked just ahead of her who will probably lose R1, then direct entry to Wimbledon qualy draw is hers. Which considering she is going to the Olympics, I imagine she will want grass court practice.

It's confusing because the poster who is updating this thread isn't providing official information in the opening post (for instance Krajicek is not yet officially withdrawn, so Barrois is technically not yet in, and will be in the qualifying draw were it to take place right now).

It's fine if the OP does speculative threads leading up to events, but someone with official information should maintain the updated entry list so as not to cause these kinds of problems for future Slams.

Last in QD - Sacha Jones (NZL).
Barrois did not make the MD.

Seems like Krajicek didnt withdraw in time.
