Britney Spears turns racing driver to research new film role



Britney Spears has been given lessons in racing as part of her training for a new film role.

She was given an hour's tuition on a Las Vegas speedway track being taken round at 118mph.

The star is planning to play the daughter of a racing team boss in the Hollywood movie.

She told the Sunday Express: "I did 20 laps round the course at lightening speed and it was awesome."

Manager of Richard Petty Driving Experience Brad Mark added: "We thought Britney would be scared stiff but she loved every minute of it."

She was also at the NASCAR race this last Sunday at Homestead Florida! Franly, I was looking forward to hearing her sing the national anthem from the middle of the front straight during the course of the race!
