What were the most touching speeches you have ever seen? I noticed that I often cried with the players when they got emotional during their speech. One great example is Serena dedicating her AO 07 win to Yetunde.

I am sure I was not the only one deeply touched by this.

EDIT: Posts are worthless without videos attached to it.

I'd say Serena in 2007 too - and Maria also gave a very mature and classy runner-up speech too.

Serena's AO 2003 and 2007 speeches always get me. Davenport's doubles RU speech at the AO in 2005 was one of the sweetest I'd seen. So sincere and beautifully uttered.

Serena's most touching speech was the 2007 AO. For Venus, it wasn't on court but when she won the Glamour of the Year award after winning 2005 Wimby. It was so emotional :sobbing:

Serena's 2007 AO Finals speech had me feel too many emotions to count.

Queen Bethanie's 2012 AO MXD Finals speech just for sentimental reasons. I'll probably never see her making the winner's speech at a slam again but for that night my friends just had to sit around the TV while I stood in the middle of the room smiling and teary eyed like a proud parent. :)

That speech teared me up now (Serena 2007).
Also, I like Kim's speech at the USO 2010. That part about her dad brought me to some big tears back then.

I actually liked Schiavone's speech at the French Open. So many players churn out soulless PR-friendly stuff but I thought Fran's speech was very heartfelt and genuine. :)

Lol, I didn't mean it :) I didn't even see it. But Wickmayer is such a sore loser that I thought she would just say a few words after losing a final badly to a lower ranked player.

Rezai's speech at Las Vegas was quite moving last year:

When Serena dedicated her victory to Yetunde, it totally explained why she played the way she did that day. She BURNED...used all her emotions and channeled them on that court, and it was beautiful. We haven't seen brilliance like that since. I actually thought that Vera Zvonareva handled herself beautifully at Wimbledon 2010, and Serena's speech was really nice as well. Looked like they had a genuine respect for the other - you don't always get that.

Lena's runner-up speech at the 2004 U.S. Open, on the anniversary of 9/11 and just after the Belsen massacre. Probably her best moment.

Serena's speech to Yetunde would be my #2.

Speaking of which Sharapova should learn to be less PR in her GS losses. I mean everybody thought her speech at the AO ceremony was nice and gracious. To me it was just PR and politically correct stuff. I mean she totally missed the final and the way she played was embarassing. Learn to be real Maria...It would have been ok to sound disappointed.
